    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

can anyone tell me what this spider is???

all we have rehomed a spider ( already got a few) but are unsure as too wether its either a trapdoor or funnel web...... the shop irresponsibly bought it on without knowing what type it was!!! done LOADS of research and as far as we can tell it looks like its one or the other........we arnt sure on how it is although its looks like its a she.....to me she looks just like a 'jelly'spider!!(as in made of jelly-really shiny and rubbery looking)

Well, is black in colouring, with very subtle brownish shimmer to its legs.....

We have managed to check her aggressiveness and she didnt really show much aggression....she didnt rear up as I have been led to believe funnels do.....and on checking her habitat have found a small flat web on the ground under her hide....which i feel points to a trapdoor more than a funnel web but hey im no expert!!!

If you please check out the pics and if anyone has an idea what she is PLEASE let me know!!!
I have posted on other sites and most people have come back saying its either a trapdoor or a funnel web...but i cant really tell the difference so im hoping somewhere here someone may be able to give me a more definate id........Also if it is a funnel web, do I need a dwa to keep it (i think if it is a funnel then its going to a new home!!)

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!!

Thanks

hard to say what that sucker is, any idea on country of origin ?
the legs seem to long to be a trap door but then liphistius has some long legs .
I see no sclerites on the legs so a liphistius is not what it is

Pretty cool little beastie! Looks like a bit of a scrapper!
