• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Can I use a radiant heat panel as the only heat source for my water dragon.

I have a 4ft wide, 4ft deep, 5ft tall. It is made of osb except for the front which is glass. Will the 160 watt radiant heat panel reach the bottom of the cage.

If you're talking about a Reptile Basics Inc. heat panel then it probably best to contact them with your dimensions.
 
if you have that bulb fixture already installed you could use an MVB to get both heat and UVB from that single source. That will aid the heat output from the panel and will also take care of your UVA. The way the florescent tube is installed right now is potentially dangerous for the lizard's eyes - it is better to have it overhead so that light does not pierce the eyes horizontally. The fixture looks too long for that and assuming you go the MVB route you can get rid of the tube entirely. Even better would be get a smaller florescent fixture, mount it on top, and use a lower-color bulb for the early morning and sunset photoperiod (and the MVB can your daytime bulb if you'd like). The cage looks great, nice job with the decorations.

i have had a lot of good experiences with Bob MacCargar at ReptileUV, so if you do decide to go the MVB route I would recommend checking them out. Arcadia is another popular brand but I have not used them. best of luck to you
