    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can someone help identify this?

I will do my best to describe this. This "growth" is on the underside of the mouth of my Python. She is about two years old, and the growth was not there last week. It is a swelling that is hard when you touch it. At the top of the swelling it looks like there is a scab. There are three more much smaller scabs toward the front of the mouth. There is no mouth rot, and I do not see any evidence of parasites, mites, etc in the cage. The snake is in a rack with five other snakes and none of the other snakes have a problem. I do not feed live prey. There is some old dead skin in the area, which is hard to get off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Photos attached. Not the best quality but the best I could do with one hand.

if your in my area and would like to bring her by,i can take a closer examnation to see..i really cant tell with the photos.

lol,yeah slightly.well i wish i could help you out..it look like it may come down with shed...keep us posted after she does so.

There appears to be a raised line coming from the scab closest to the snout. Maybe some sort of worm? Its hard to tell from pics. If you don't have anybody local to look at her I would take her to a vet. If it gets worse it may cause problems with her feeding. Best of luck, I hope it isn't to serious.

Lol, I would prolly be mad as well. Im not too sure what that is but I would take her to a vet asap or try to find a rep. breeder that can help you in your area. Hope its not too serious and good luck!

Just some fyi, I know its not my place, but.. your full name and location are now required so you may wanna update that before a mod gives you an infraction or warning!

I will in no way say that I am an expert but please read this thread about impacted teeth. When I saw the pictures this thread came to mind and I searched for several hours until i found it again.

Hope it helps! In any case you will want to find a vet you don't want to have it get worse. I am praying the best of health for your girl!!

Here is a website that lists some reptiles vets in the SoCal area that may be able to help:

We are mainly enforcing this rule in the classifieds sections but it is always good to remind people.
