    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can someone ID this morph please?

hypererythristic?
(extra reds)
nice tort.................where is it, maybe someone knows where or who owns it?...
unless you own it....

Personally, it looks dyed......Look at the last Sulcata.....Looks un-naturally yellow to me....

The Sulcata that you can barely see looks about what a Sulcata should look like.......The first one I'm on the fence with......Maybe yes, maybe no.....

If I had to guess I would say that the orange one is housed in a yard with iron rich soil. I've seen dogs get that color from rolling in it so I would think that a spur-thigh that dug down would get the same paint job.

I've seen this before on tortoiseforum, though I couldn't find the link. The owner of a similar red sulcata (perhaps the same one, but since I can't find the thread I can't verify) stated that their normal sulcata had its entire body dyed red by their red/orange clay.

OH ......my brother's toenails turned that color when he spent most of the summer fishing in the Susquehanna , toads are that color there (on islands) and snapping turtles have been seen that color at times...not really alot though....and it all comes from COAL Sand......tons of coal ....the beaches are black sand....(falls off train cars for 100 years and washes down river and builds up behind the first big dam...(Safe Harbor Dam).....
....might be dyed....might be odd.....hope we find out.....??? ..soon.....LOL

It is probably that color due to the red soil of Hawaii. I have seen Hawaiian raised torts this color more than once.
