Whats a better cage size? One that is 36 long and 24 deep or one that is 48 long and 18 deep?

Sorry Michael, I think sometimes people hesitate to answer questions about bearded dragons just because there are so many different methods of keeping them, and everyone just does whatever works for them.

I think the 18x48 would be a better option than the 24x36. If you put a heat lamp over 1/2 of each enclosure, the the 18x48 would offer a better temperature gradient since it is longer. Since they're both the same square footage, I'd go with the 18x48 assuming that the two cages are comparable in all other aspects. I hope that helps.

Being patient isn't waiting an hour and expecting an answer. Especially around the time that people are just getting home from work, sitting down to dinner with their families, and all in all doing things that come with having a life of their own apart from the forums. It has nothing to do with being new or anything along those lines.

That's still not enough to get upset about. This is a busy year for most of us. Eggs, hatchlings, regular maintenance. People try to get to as many posts as possible. While you're waiting for an answer to one of your questions, try to find it yourself. I'm not meaning to come off as rude, I'm just trying to give you a few more options aside from relying so heavily on the Forum.

As of now, not counting myself, The thread has had thirty-two views. It has been almost two hours since you have asked your question. The system counts your views as well. In the first thirty-nine minutes you had over thirty views? More than likely you checking the thread almost every minute to see if someone responded.

Welcome to Fauna but being antagonistic will not create a warm welcoming committee for you.

People volunteer their time here to answer questions and to help out. If you hadn’t received a response with a day or two you could have asked the question again politely. After all it wasn’t a life or death question that needed an answer right away. Why do you think you are owed a response or anything for that matter?

I don't know the actual measurements on the cages that I use. Since I only have 2 beardeds, I use 40 gallon cages for them. They each get their own cage. Hope this helps! :scatter:

Remember the word I used in one of your previous threads??? I'm sure you do, since you made reference to it...but as a reminder:
Patience.
and lighten up a little bit - making antagonistic posts every time you don't get an immediate response will get you ignored more than anything else. Behaving maturely, being polite, and generally learning to "play well with others" will get you a lot further.

As for the above quoted comment - when you initiate a thread, it appears in the Recent Latest Discussions section of the main page. Many of us peruse this section first, before venturing into specific forums. As such, you can get a number of views by people with absolutely no interest in, or knowledge of, the subject matter. A thread entitled: Can someone plese help me out. (misspelling/typo aside) will get a lot of looks because many people enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience...but most people will not venture out of their area of expertise - which is to say that many of the people that keep snakes or leopard geckos will see that it is about bearded dragons and just exit the thread...frequently without bothering to read the post.

and, oh, the height of patience...39 minutes after initiating a second thread on the same topic.

As for the lack of responses, I already offered what I think was a fairly reasonable explanation...and in my case, it was accurate
