    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

can tokay gecko live with a ribbon snake?

hi, i have a ribbon snake like 6 months old, i recently put a toaky gecko living with it in a 10 gallon tank the seem to be fine togheter some times when i make the ribbon nervous the ribbon hits the tokay and the tokay just opens his mouth and barks, but is it possible that later when the toaky is bigger can eat my ribbon?
 
No, you really shouldn't keep a ribbon snake (or anything) in with a tokay.

1. The tokay could kill the ribbon snake.
2. I'm not positive, but tokays and ribbon snakes probably don't live in the same habitat, and therefore you can't give them what they need.
3. Each seperate species carries their own bacteria.
4. You're causing unecessary stress to the animals.
 
hey thanks a lot, i already returned the tokay gecko ill prbably by a leopard gecko taht is a lot more tamable and calm is be ok?? y just want to have a snake (ribbon) and a lizard (cheap not more than 25 buks)
 
You should not house different species together EVER. They carry different types of bacteria, which can be fatal to each other. Plus it's VERY stressful on animals that would normally prey upon each other, or would be prey to live together.

How would you like to be shut into a room with a hungry tiger, with just a few hides, that you could both technically get into? It would be stressful to both of you, and one will probably come out dead.

If you want a leopard gecko, buy another 10 gallon tank, a couple of hides, and a heat light, or under tank heater. Be prepared to spend around $100 for all needed supplies. If you can't provide acceptable housing for the animals, don't get them. Save your money until you can afford everything, and THEN get the animal.

would you keep a rabbit with a weasal?
how about if we put you in a room with a black tail deer! Do you tink it might just stress the both of you out?....Hmmmmm???
 
Just curious....what would you do if either of these animals got sick? just an assumption, but by your choice of the word "cheap" I dont think you are ready to have to pay for vet bills and ample food costs. just because an animal is cheap, that never ever, EVER means it is disposable, ok. so always keep whats best for your animals in mind, if you cant give them the best (i.e. totally stress free, thriving enviroment, not just surviving) maybe you shouldnt be getting them. please dont let this discourage you from posting here or getting into the hobby, we just want whats best for you and the animals!
