In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I bought this Cane toad recently from a local Pet store I was told it was a female. it is just a Juvenile I read up some stuff on some visual sexing it don't really have to many "warts" like most males and It don't make really any noise vary rarely it will make one squeak of a croak, but when it does its "wanna be" croak where its chin goes up and down or whatever their is no sound at all (which is another indication female) it really isn't yellow and it has a HUGE appetite. It ate a small rat the first day. It does inflate as well, So by Judging picture what do you think?

I am used to large retics and Burms this is my first Exotic toad/frog.

If it is a male if I feed him well can he still get the massive size I am looking for? I don't want to power feed him but I do want it to be big thats why I wanted female.

The short answer is that Florida type cane toads will not get truly massive and males will not get as big as females can. Around six inches or so is probably all you can realistically hope for if it is a female and a bit smaller if it is a male. Of course that is a good size for a toad but no where near the huge size the suriname variety of cane toad can reach.
