• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hey there,

I tried to add a banner to my account, MK Geckos, and it won't let me. My banner is 468 x 100. Whenever I try to add it, it says "Enter a valid banner. Leave it blank if you don't have one. It must be smaller than 468x100." I've also tried using one that is 365 x 64 and I got the same message.

Help please!

What type of file is it? It could be a file the program will not all?

GIF? JPG? Ect...

Upload the image into a post here as an attachment so I can take a look at it, please.

Here you go, thanks WebSlave

I figured it out, I had to take the HTTP:// out of the link to the image.

Thanks!
Just kidding... it acted like it accepted my banner, but it still shows the Top Sites Banner.

First thing I tried was putting this link in the banner field; http://www.mkgeckos.com/banner_tiny.jpg

I got this as a reply: "Enter a valid banner. Leave it blank if you don't have one. It must be smaller than 468x100."

When I take out the HTTP:// and use this link, www.mkgeckos.com/banner_tiny.jpg

It sends me to a new page that says; "Your account has been successfully edited."

When I click edit account again to see the banner link, the link is changed back to: http://www.faunatopsites.com/img/default.gif

Any help would be appreciated :shrug01:

I wanted to know if anyone has a fix for this? I still can't get my banner to load. I've tried .gif's and .jpg's

Thanks,

Kyle

I don't know the answer..but if you could look though some of the previous posts you may find it.

Barring that, someone will be along that is more IT savvy than myself shortly.
