In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Does anyone know if Cape Cod Roaches is on some sort of vacation and/or any issues with them?

I made an order on June 30th (Thursday) of last week for some dubia and orange-heads. The amount was deducted from my bank account and I received an automated email.
Since then I have not heard anything else, even after emails to them on the 5th and 6th. I sent an email to cancel today (July 7th) if not sent out. Here is the latest email I sent...

Hi Cape Cod Roaches,

I sent message on the 5th (from your website form) and on the 6th in regards to my order I made on the 30th. The amount was deducted from my bank account on the 30th. I had ordered with the intent on getting them within a few days, and understanding that the 4th of July would offset my order. It is now July 7th and I have not even got a confirmation of shipment or a response at all via my email requests.

If you have not sent as of this email (aprox. 12:30 PM Pacific Time) please refund my order and do not ship. I was really excited about what stock you have and wanted to start business but I can't have my funds tied up like this without knowing if I am getting what I ordered or not.

Besides checking if any issues with Cape Cod Roaches, am I being too impatient or do my actions seem justified? I just feel I could have ordered elsewhere and would have my feeders already and now I have to order elsewhere and wait. In the mean time go spend more $ at the local petstore for crickets and I HATE even bringing crickets into my house, let alone feeding them to my lizards.

Right after adding this BOI, Cape Cod Roaches contacted me via email with a confirmation of shipment on the 6th (yesterday) for delivery expected the 9th (tomorrow), so all seems well. The delay was expected due to the 4th of July, but for whatever reason the shipping confirmation was never sent (yes I checked spam many times). So at this point nothing negative to say here. I will update when they arrive.

I think you may have jumped the gun slightly (due to being impatient). But honestly If I was in a position that I could have already had feed for my animals from another vendor I'd be kind of annoyed. That being said, communication may have been lacking due to the holiday weekend so I think they deserve some slack! At least they are on their way :)

The 30th was a thursday so they wouldnt have sent them then, the soonest I think they could have shipped is the 5th and may have been backed up. Glad it all worked out!

They arrived and as other mentioned, I found many more than what I actually ordered. They came in great health.

I would definitely do business with Cape Cod Roaches and can recommend them to others
