    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have had my granite Burm since she was little. She is now a little over 8 feet long and putting on weight. She gets to come out of her cage everyday for baths and free time roaming the apartment for a couple of hours. There are two people around at all times. We enjoy handling her. But when does it become too big for this kind of attention? If any of you have big Burms, do you handle them on a regular basis, or do the snakes tend to reside in their cages more as they get bigger?

A lot of that depends on the owner. When the snake gets too big for two people and needs three around when out of the cage, how often will you be able to allow it to roam without too much worry for your own safety? Really it is up to you, snakes usually do not become aggressive with age if the handling continues. I do know of some that let their full size burms roam outside once a week for an hour and the snakes are content with that much time allotted to them for stretching out. What do you want to do when your snake gets larger?

Well i have to say i used to have my burms out everyday without fail well they do get heavy and it does become more work so it turned into 2-3 times a week. now we have our big girl she is around 16-17 feet and 105 pounds yesterday when weighed and a male albino 12-13 feet and 90 pounds a 6 foot female triple het and a new baby albino female het for green. with my new job i have a little less time off so of course the easy ones get handled allot more than the others but i still make a point to bring out the big ones at least 3-4 times a month. in November the work load should ease up and i should get my time off back so then i will bring them out more often. keep doing what your doing i love my burms and although we have other snakes they are my favorite and i try to maintain as much contact with them as possible.

it also seems the bigger they get the more safety minded i get i use allot more care while they are out cruising the house. i always know where they are.don't want them knocking over a TV. or something(not saying my big girl did that :eek: )
