    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Carolina Reptile Exchange--Beware!

I just don't. THis may not be the case here, but I just really wonder, if not to save a buck, what other reason could one possibly give that would make sense.

A while ago I found myself buying for the second time from a person with which I have had a very unsatisfactory experience on quite an expensive animal for me at that time. My thought process the second time was "he probably wants to correct what went wrong the first time and he will thus give me a good deal this time". Wrong. It didn't happen and got a lemon again (and not a pastel lemon). This was about the time I learned for the first time about the existence of the BOI. Had it been a few months earlier I would have saved quite some money and grief. Can people change? Of course they can, but I learned my expensive lesson the hard way, and I'm not going to be the first one to give them another chance..

I completely understand where you would be coming form. I that person's defense (the one you dealt with), I would not say at this point he has the same baggage as Bruce. Look how many people have told their stories on countless threads about CRE, Bruce, Harry, whomever. On top of that look at some of the other stuff that came up that I found like Harry had been daed for years, but still sold snakes and talked on the phone. Look at the info Ritchie found.
I just cannot compare the two. I can see where you were coming from in your dealings with that person though.
 
To the person who started this thread. I didn’t look at the date when this was started but if we are within the time frame I highly suggest you get a ne4ocropsy(spelling?) If a cruelty case is to be brought against them it would greatly help to have that. Ods are it died of some kind of internal infection due to lack of proper antis after the surgery. Maybe not but if it was something that took a while to have a necropsy and something from a vet stating that the exact cause of death was something that took weeks would be of great help strengthen any cause against them. Did you pay via postal money order? Or CC, if you paid via either file a complaint. If you paid via CC you can probably get your money back from them. If via postal money order I would think if you saved your emails with those pics you got enough to prove you got ripped.

Also I don’t know who to file a complaint for this you have to do it with the states attorney or something like that I don’t remember, Ken Harbart may know but I would bet money you could get them arrested under bait and switch laws. I never followed through with it but I checked into it once for a bad internet deal I had, the laws are different from state to state I think the seller for my deal was in KY but from what I remember of those laws this clearly fits under bait and switch.

You inquired about a hot snake, throughout the sale you made it clear you wanted a hot snake, they agreed to send you a hot snake, you would need something from a vet to prove it but from the pics I am sure what they sent you was not a hot snake. Bait and Switch.

I may be telling ya something here you already know, im not trying to insult ya but if the animal is laying around stick in the fridge, do not freeze it till you can get it to a vet, freezing it will mess up any necropsy. run it in and get it done. if its been to long or you have already frozen it make sure to keep it there. If nothing more you can still get the necropsy because they can still tell the venomous surgery was done. And to get them under bait and switch you will need to be able to prove that.

Like I said I am not trying ti insult ya keeping kings I am sure you know that stuff, im just trying to help so incase ya didn’t there it is.

The rest of you guys take it easy on him if nothing more lets all help him to get some kind of resolution. Granted these reptile exchange guys make us all sick but for one reason or the other at some time in our past I am sure each and everyone of us has laid better judgment aside for whatever reason and regretted it. He may not have known, if he did lay better judgment aside I am sure the lesson has been learn. He doesn’t need it rubbed in. I don’t know what he paid but last time I looked at the venomous classifieds kings were going for $500+ so thats hard lesson that none of us would appreciate having rubbed in.
 
I am curious has anyone ever bought a venomoid from these guys that can ateast to it being a venomoid? This is my opinion and nothing more but they seem to have alot of them listed and with many of the others things I have read about these guys IMO it wouldnt seem to far fetched for them to be selling hots snakes as venomoids. Thats just a cusious thought that popped in my head after some of the things that have been posted im not saying thats what they are doing just thought I would ask. So can anyone atest their venomoids are actually that?

Had I known about this board, I would have never bought anything from Bruce. I use to come to this site and look under the classifieds and venomous forum, but never knew what this board was until someone told me to post my dealings with CRE here. Once I came here I could have kicked myself for not knowing about this place sooner.

I posted an update, and it's not going good. It's going into the courts now.

I suggest that we bombard animal control with reports of neglect and abuse to the animals on a daily basis.

I also strongly suggest picketing outside his storefront :dgrin: to warn others away and that will surely draw the medias attention and law enforcement.

If we dont do anything then he wins and countless people and animals will suffer, :bow01: PLEASE PEOPLE start making those calls

Then Bruce will be doing this :bawling: and this :>Puke<: CALL everyone and anyone make it heard and they will do something because they will wont the calls to stop. Then we can have the party of the year! :dancer01:
 
Just a cautionary note.... use caution on which groups you report this behavioiur to.... no need to give the "animal rights" people more ammunition as to why people shouldn't keep snakes at all.

I think this is why we work to police ourselves, because if we left in the hand of legislators and animal rights groups, we wouldn't be able to own anything at all!
 
They have 3 venomous reptiles listed on Kingsnake.com right now. One of them is a Gaboon that I was supposed to get in a trade.

Bruce is not only scamming and crewing people in the reptile buisiness, but in the primate world as well. He scammed me out of $1700!
Well actually it is his partner in crime...Ken waters of this supposed "Fang Farm"...which does not exist!
All the phone numbers and addresses this ken guy givesw out, belong to Bruce Eisenmann of Carolina Reptile Exchange. I have been contacted by numerous being scammed in the same way. I contacted the USDA, the online fraud website, the York county Sherriff's dept in S.C about this, as well as posted as many "SCAM ALERT" adds on websites as possible.
This guy needs to be stopped. Not only is it abuse to the animals..but someone is going to get killed!

When is someone going to stop this guy! I mean South Carolina may not have any Permit requirements...but this guy is a crook!
His website portrays some big elaborate store he has. His store is the size of a small bathroom, where people are not even welcome unless by appt.
He has like 3 reptiles in there, and the place is gross and has ridiculous hours!
He is shipping venomous reptiles..which is illegal!
He has been known to sell "venamoids"..that are still venomous!
I may get a bunch of people together, and contact a lawyer and make sure this guy and his partners in crime go down!

look at the name mark/mike norman on shhs as dale3833 and now aries54 and other threads on the board. i could be wrong. someone also shows pics of him at bruses shop. or is he just someone that had bad luck and got mixed up with him? or is it bruse?

Hi. This is Mark. And yes, I used to hang out there. I did believe, once upon a time, that Bruce wasn't lying to me. WOW, was I wrong. He scammed me just like he did everyone else. Him and I had it out. I havent seen or heard from him in a VERY long time. In fact, if you check other threads on this site about him, I have done everything I can to inform people about him. And I know several people on here are going to bombard me with questions now. Some may even talk a little trash to me. That's ok. I understand. But, let me set a few things straight. I NEVER was an employee of Carolina Reptile Exchange. I was friends with him and his family. I'd spend time there, hang out with them. I'd help clean cages when I was there. But again, for those that think I worked there, I was never on the pay roll. I made a mistake trusting him. I am still activeley trying to educate people about him. He is simply a horrible man. He treats his mother and two sons like crap. His two old english sheep dogs (if they're even still alive) are horribly kept. The one has hair falling off of it. He pretty much (in my opinion) killed his two wallabies. These are all things that made me open my eyes to what many of you had been saying. That's what makes me sick. When I think back to getting in heated discussions on here with certain people. I wish I could take it back. I can't. You were right. I was wrong. Guys, I can go on for ever typing the reasons that helped me change my point of view. Feel free to send a message to me, I'll try to respond asap. I'd be happy to help anyone I can in an attempt to get Bruce out of the business. Oh, and one more thing,....................Bruce even though you never respond on this site, I know you read all of this. STOP KILLING THESE ANIMALS! QUIT SCREWING PEOPLE! For a guy that goes around telling people that he's a christian, you break more of God's rules than anyone I've ever known.
 
okay i thought that too, at one point and have had problems with him myself and so have others that i've talked to at the shows. sorry for the post. in the end anyone in this business has to get from another dealer, hobbest, ect. he running out of road so he will probalby move to the north west when his bridges are burned here.
 
Well, my problem is, I caught him doing things that I can not prove. I know FOR A FACT, that he was signing my name on his "written guarantees". The problem was, the person that I came into contact with was afraid to do anything against him and stopped returning my calls. So, with out the documents, I have nothing. When I went to bruce about it, he at first, could not give me an answer. Then he just started rambling off about random stuff and tried acusing me of not being a good friend. I laughed, I was like "Bruce, your scamming people using my name? And I'm the bad guy?" WTF? That's when I finally just walked away from him. There have been so many things that, looking back on it now, I realize what he was doing. But again, it's my word against his, and it wouldn't go any where.

LOL, yea,...........you were one of them I was thinking of. LOL. The thing that pisses me off I think more than anything, is looking back on it,....he was never my friend. He just used me. But yea, he signed my name. I saw him on a couple of occasions take normal ball pythons that customers had traded to him, and set them in the cages with his "hets." When I asked him about that, he said he was just going to leave them in there until he got a new cage set up. Well, then it would be a few days until I was back in the store, and they'd be gone and he'd be talking about a large sale for a couple of hets he sold. I'd wonder if they were the normals or not, but I couldnt prove anything. It was frustrating. A while back, I started a thread on here about "fang Farm." I saw where some one else mentioned that as well and his suppossed partner "Ken." Well, there is a Ken. He lives outside of Chicago. He's a tattoo artist. As far as I know, that's the only person that is still friends with bruce. They're probably screwing people together. Any other questions that ya'll have, feel free to ask. If I dont respond right away, I will get back to you.
