    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

That would REALLY have sucked, if you had actually posted proof, Chris...because I still would have removed it. The full name rule isn't going away...but you're getting closer and closer to losing your ability to post here.
 
The guy just isn't getting the message, Harald. Ban him for three days or until he can email me at [email protected] to clear up that real name issue.

Here's a thought... since You have more info than I had on the person that scammed me, call Nedham, Mass police and talk with them about it and be prepared to send them everything You have on this. Maybe if we start filing more complaints with the police departments on ripoffs like these then we can get something done or atleast if they receive multiple complaints on a person in their area, they will do something. I have family in that area but they arent close relatives but I just beleive that something could be done with You haveing that tracking number and him receiveing it without complaing or anything. My police department here tried to do something but wasnt worth the going to Arizona to persue 300.00 but maybe some police department might be willing to pay him a visit. Just my hopes.
 
I will. That is my next step. I plan on filing a report tomorrow.
I really am only asking for money for my loss or my snake back. I understand there is a possibility neither could happen. I am also warning people of my experience so he doesnt continue to do this. THanks

Just for the record, I take pictures while i'm packing EVERY ANIMAL i ship out!

In all fairness to Captnemo, and You, Just because You took pics as You are packing doesn't mean that after the pic You didn't take the pics out. There is no perfect answer ESPECIALLY to prove what is in a box once You send it. If anyone has a idea, Id love to hear it. Thankfully I don't send reptiles but I do buy them and this is always my fear with the amount of scamming done on the web. In most cases I drive to get my animal that is the most sure way to not get scammed is face to face these days. And Yes I have driven from Macon, GA to Indiana to get a reptile.
 
ok i understand my name is chris breault so i gotta change that i see. can you guide me through it as i am new. and honestly he sent me a package that was empty he tryed to scam me so why am i getting talked bad about harold?this kid is 16 years old trying to screw me tracking number is good but package is not good.i used my roomates email to setup after realizing different name i understand your concern. p.s. so please help me fix it i am doing a trade with a guy from carolina and i will have him post saying he gets his snakes tommoro im shipping is that good enough?
 
Why are you posting under a false name in the first place?! You need to email Webslave like he told you to, PERIOD. That's how to fix that.
 
Ok how was the 70.00 sent then? If we could prove he got the money then maybe that would give credibility to the package and its contents that are now in dispute. I still side with the kid. Being 16 or 60 doent make him a scammer and I just dont beleive he went to all the trouble to send a empty box knowing that when You got it and nothing was in it then You wouldnt send the balls. Just sounds too fishy on Carpetmans end.

Unfortunately that is the state of things... For every one of us honest guys out there there's 5 guys with no problem scamming... I just try to do the most that i can to document what I do!
 
I know... and I wasn't saying that as if YOU would do that, Please dont take it that way. Just in my mind I was trying to think of a way to prove what is sent but short of recoding everything right up to the mail man putting it on the next truck out of town and I believe there are some scammers that would do that then stop the truck and take it back just to steal a dollar. I do hope that this kid isnt getting ripped. It really bothers me to see this happen in the world of reptiles.. or any where really but more so here... Loves my reptiles..

Just to let you know, "the web guy" is the owner of the site, so don't disrespect him. :rolleyes: For that matter, don't be disrespectful to ANYONE on this site, or it's likely your butt won't be welcomed.
