Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well was going to do a trade with this individual.  Savu Pythons for a Gaboon and Black spitter.  She gave me her address and phone and sent me the tracking number before i had shipped mine out so i thought everything was ok.  We had talked numerous times on the phone.  I go to track the package again and just says the following "Billing Information recieved".  I then called the shipping company and had them look and nothing and had them do alot more checking and nothing was even sent out.

I then try to reach her and nothing, but she recieved my snakes already isn't that predictable.

Then come to find out she is also partners or has some snakes with Ken Harris also.  Now the pieces are starting to make alot of sense on this.  

Just wanting everyone to know and be aware.

Well to update the situation.

They sent my Savu pair back and also sent me the Gaboon as me being out the shipping.  In Minnesota here and most people know that there is some snow and i told him to make sure that he shipped with Styrofoam box, heat packs, newspaper and bagged snakes, which i thought was pretty normal shipping procedure but for him i guess not.  

Now all of a sudden he Mack Waters pops up and not his wife or girlfriend anymore.  We talked on numerous occassions after the first ordeal and he had indicated that any problems to let him know and he would take care of it.  I thought well that is no problem there.

Well to make a long story short the snakes show up in a cardboard box no styrofoam lining, one heat pack and the gaboon in a container with water in it and only rubberband holding it shut.  I specifically told him styrofoam box at least two heat packs and lots of newspaper cause it was snowing.  He said no problem.

Got on the phone with him right after picking the animals up and discussed what to do about this situation and was going to PayPal me $150 for the lost animals and then changed his mind to Western Union cause he had problems with the PayPal before.

Now his email is non-responsive and now denying that he even sent me any animals at all when i have the return address, UPS spokesperson said that they can identify him and can verify that it was sent and all the emails also.

Wondering what else to do here?

Just want to keep everyone up to date on things and to make sure that they steer clear of these people.

I saw how the snakes were shipped,  I wouldn't even send my own snakes out during the summer that way.  No syrofoam one heat pack and the gaboon was shipped with water in a deli cup with only a rubber band holding it shut,  this could have turned out bad for a bunch of people if the box was dropped or crushed someone could have died as a result Mr. and Mrs. Waters.  It turned my stomach seeing the gaboon was upside down and not moving and the savu coiled up and stiff all due to the result of uncaring owners.  From what I have seen these people are the type that shouldn't have animals in their possession.

Sorry to hear about your loss.  I got my spitter back  and am happy to say he was alive(although there was no heatpack) but very cold.  It was actually Ken Harris that was getting the snakes, I am not sure of what relation carrie waters is to him.  The situation was basically like this, he(Ken) was a kid that was using the internet to get all of these snakes, when he didn't pay people or send the snakes he promised, people got upset(myself included), the kid got scared, and came clean to his parents about the situation. His parents inturn forced him to send all of the snakes back to the original owners at his own expense, and the owners were to keep the money(if they were actually paid) that was paid for the snakes. This is the story that I heard from his stepmother via email.  The email is no longer working, so I really would have no way to get in touch with them.  I hope everything works out in your situation.

My lord, I'm glad nobody got killed......being a venomous keeper, this makes me VERY upset........Nobody but nobody who gives a rats ass about the right to own these animals should EVER send hots by any other means than air freight.  If I could find these people I would box them up and send them straight to Africa (not a nice part).........man, some people....I swear.

I have had the same response with them but they want tame arboreals, then they want this and that. What they do is they try to get you to sell them an animal....you do...i did.....and then sya money was sent, here is the tracking number for express mail.........can you send it today as tommorow will be only day to recieve in a while....you fall for it(i didnt thank god) and send it only to find out that tracking number and packjage was delivered to a friend or random address not far from where you live. They tried to pull this off twice....TWICE! are they dumb or what? atleast ry to do it to different people....they cost me one day in sales of over 700.00 dollars saying they sent money...took another week to sell the same stuff.
 
I'm with that other guy.  What the hell where ether of you thinking.  The sended aswell as the reciver.  YOU CAN'T SEND HOT SNAKE UPS, USPS, AIRBORNE, OR FEDEX.  You WILL get someone killed.  Not to mention what you have made the other HOT KEEPERS look like.  Its becase of people like YOU that we have some many problems.  I noteced that you never told him to send you gaby the right way, or told him to duble bag it.  Man guy as my DAD would say " USE YOUR HEAD FOR SOMETHING OTHER THAN A HAT RACK!!!" <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

The Gabby was sent and then told me about the snake being sent.  I had said if doing any HOTS at all to use Northwest Airlines for the HOTS and I would cover shipping there when it arrived.  I sent my snakes Airborne and he was told not to ship anyway but Northwest Airlines cause he said that he couldn't use Delta Dash with not being a known shipper and I have used Northwest Airlines in the past and gotten in HOTS in the past using Northwest Airlines too.  Wooden crate and all that like Delta.

I'm not saying "crackhead". Just very "crackish". I'm still blown away by the fact that someone shipped a Gaboon via UPS.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>  Talk about being a couple sandwiches and a basket short of a picnic. It's no wonder states are popping up with anti-reptile legislation left and right.
