In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This guy is definitely one of the better carrottails I have produced. He weighs aprox. 30 grams and keeps getting nicer with each shed. Should I hold him back? I can't decide...... hope you like him:)

thats a pretty impressive CT, if you have room for another breeder male, or the one you are using has a less impressive CT I would say hold him back for sure.

Its an interesting and sometimes difficult part about being a breeder, sometimes you want to keep them all, and sometimes you HAVE to make tough decisions and let go of breeders you have had for a while...

Real beaut though!

Nah.... I think you should send him off to me asap....LOL he is a beauty that CT is awesome...I would hold him back for sure.

He is amazing, I would not send him to Robin though, send him to me lololol

For sure a hold back unless you have no need for another male and I can't see not having a need for a male that awesome or if you have one that develops better maybe let him go.

I think the more they develop they more they are usualy worth too, so if you hodl onto him for a bit longer and change your mind, I would think he would being a higher price as being closer to breeding age and weight later.

I agree, I think his carrottail will continue to grow, the only problem is his body coloration is slightly smoky. Hopefully it will lighten up more with age.

it may at 30 grams he is still quite young, I bet he will color up nicely for you

I have a female, well adult that got dusty greenish colored to me as soon as she started mating but when I take her outside for a really good look she is a nice tang just a darker tang.

Maybe take him outside and see what he looks like under some real sunlight

I’d definitely keep him. He has a nice amount of carrot and will probably produce some stunning offspring. The darker ‘cloudy’ look doesn’t look too bad. It makes him a little unique.

Not all his babies will be darker.......:) I think you guys talked me into it. I'm probably going to keep him.

Sometimes that smokey color is a mood thing. I've got a male who looks pretty smokey, but the gray cast goes as soon as he gets excited.
