In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Casey Ritch - Norman, OK is a thief and scammer

Hey i see this is your first post and you just signed up.
Welcome to the fauna
What kind of critters do you keep?
Glad your here.

on another note....did you know about this thread before you joined ,or did someone bring it to your attention?

I understand where you're coming from Chris but Conner didn't say anything all that earth shattering about Casey to get suspicious about. He merely pointed out that he has purchased from him, never had anything shipped (so he lives close by) and hopes it works out for all. So what if he knows Casey? He didn't exactly go out on a limb in his support?

Yes by no means I said I think the guy is the best to deal with. I just said I have dealt with him in the past pleasantly. I hope he gets his animal back.

Hey thanks, I have seen this thread for a while and I just decided to join.
I deal with mostly balls but some boas. I work with lucies, fires, mojaves, pastels, pins, pieds, albinos, ect.. In boas I am just working on snow projects. You can see on my site what else I work with. www.daveypythons.com

Wow. That's an AWFULLY impressive list of things to be "working with", considering your tender age, and your recent string of bad luck (per your website) ... do you truly own visible homo's of all these animals?

Tom please go to his website and read the about me section. Hopefully we can keep this thread on topic, about Casey Ritch and his shipping a rock instead of a snake.

I'm sorry, am I not in the club? I agree that that is exactly what this thread should be about... but tell me you're not the slightest bit dubious about a brand new user that pops up and says that at 15, they are "working with", even with just a single homo animal of every morph he listed, something on the order of $100K worth of snakes. I did read the About Me on his site, and it said only that he owns a lemon pastel and three normals?

I don't doubt his veracity nor his experience... just not sure what's with all the exaggeration. Isn't this part of the process? Vetting dubious new users who pop up with "good experiences" with someone who's in the middle of having their backsides handed to them?

I apologize if any offense was taken by anyone, such was not my intent.

I agree, but Connor really didn't say anything. Only that he had a good experience with him. I'm sure there are others. It doesn't amount to a piss whole against the rock shipment.

It still isn't clear to me that Casey actually admitted sending the rock. It looks like he did. It appears he still has the snake that was supposed to have been shipped. If so, he can could line up a hundred supporters and it wouldn't do him any good.

ps - maybe he counts his visits to Bob Clark's place as "working with" :)

In my opinion about Connor, if he knew Bob Clark since he was 6 years old, that's 9 years of having a reliable person to ask questions and recieve help. I'm sure that Mr. Clark would have cut him a deal, and it's amazing how far parents will go to help their child out. Who is to say that for a Christmas present he didn't ask for a pair of hets or something and because of the relationship between him and Bob his parents were cut a deal. The prices of snakes are not cut in stone, and I believe that with his resources there is no way to say he didn't recieve a pair of het albinos when he was 10 and then in the 5 years since then produce a visual albino.

I also don't think that he should be slammed for saying he had one good transaction. The fact remains that Casey shipped something and a rock was recieved. Casey Ritch is a scammer, so let's get beyond somebody's age and number of posts.

Actually Bob doesnt cut me any deals. I have gotten most of my animals from Bob, Mike Wilbanks, And Wes Harris. I started investing in animals when I was 11, my dad got in it 3 years ago. I just didn;t get all this stuff by myself. We house all the snakes in AP racks and breed our own rats.

I never meant to imply that the only way for you to have those animals was through getting deals. I know that when I bought my first morph the breeder I went through was willing to go down 50-100 dollars on it, and when I got hets I was also given a small deal.

Best of luck to you and your breeding adventures, and it is so cool that you have supportive parents (vs. me who has parents who say not to 'waste' my money on snakes because they can't be worth more than 50 dollars a piece...)

My dad was the same about spending money on snakes. He said i will help you invest when you hatch some eggs. So that year I bred a pair of balls produced some eggs and hatched them. He had to keep his word so de helped me invest.

Connor, I don't do the "phone thing" ... although I do appreciate your offer. Everything that needs to be said, needs to be said here where it's indisputable. I was merely expressing a bit of disbelief that someone who's 15 would be actively "working with" (btw, this gives the impression that they are current project of your own business) morph projects that most medium-sized breeders here only dream of.

I'm not into balls, I don't care. I just saw an anomaly and thought I'd draw attention to it. If, by "work with", you mean that you've had the chance to work with them at Bob's facility, then you should just say that. Saying you have a business and then making claims about the animals you are "working with" gives people the impression that you actually own visible traits of all these animals, or are actively involved in breeding projects with someone who does. If this is the wrong impression, then I thought someone should let you know so you could correct the impression. I have no beef with your age or your experience, I don't doubt them for a second... I was just calling into question some of the "big talk". When a new user pops up out of nowhere making a "+" claim on a transaction with someone who is getting their backside handed to them, it smells fishy. I was only trying to clarify.

I just want to state, I am not trying to discredit Davey or his business... I have no reason to doubt his claims of experience. It was merely a "raised eyebrow" that he would be "working with" a list of projects rivaling the biggest breeders here, when he's a brand new user, and in this thread to boot. I do apologize.

No I mean by working with I actually own the following Homozygous morphs: Fire, Pied, Albino, Pin, Pastel, Mojave, Carmels, Plus numerous hets.

Interesting, the only good references coming forth for Casey are from a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old.
Both super teens working with high dollar animals.
It’s not even a good snow job.

I'd say the Kid has a killer collection!

(I know this is slightly off topic, but I HAD to ask!) Am I wrong in believing that Flagyl and Lamblit are only available by prescription through a vet? Everything I'm finding online shows that it is a prescription product and he's listing it for sale on his website? That, in addition to his high end snakes makes this VERY suspicious to me! If I'm wrong, I sincerely apologize!
