I have been a member of this forum and classified space since 2009 but have never made a purchase yet but I do want others to be aware this seller was permanently banned from MorphMarket for another unrelated incident come to find out and they sent another dispute notice to this individual to which they have not responded to. Back in December of ‘24 I messaged through the MM private messenger asking if I could put a deposit down for an Emerald Tree Boa because it was too late and cold in the season as I am in Montana and our winters are long and rather than risk the animals life with “guaranteed overnight” I felt more comfortable just securing the animal until it was closer to permissible shipping conditions. They said that was ok but if I was using Paypal which I only use for any transaction that I needed to send as friends and family, which leads me to believe this was all premeditated and normally I have been conditioned to reject this request and move especially if I pay the additional 2.99% fees associated with goods and services and they still insist on the latter. Well with any seller I look at their performance and read any of their derogatory testimonials and feedback to these negative claims and after I had reviewed her seller profile on the platform she didn’t have any and was sitting at a perfect rating. So I figured she is “trustworthy.”
The animal was priced at $800.00 and they said they would accept a $200.00 deposit and we both agreed I paid it that night. My insecurity began to increase when she wouldn’t send pics or kept saying she sent them but her phone wasn’t working so then she sent them from a “work phone” for which every time I texted I looped both in from that point on to prevent any claims of “well you didn’t text me or I never received anything.” Then a couple months later at the end of February I pay the remaining $600.00 as goods and services because I now see she has some concerning feedback and I did confront her about it through text. I first threatened to open a dispute because I wanted pics/video update on the animal especially after seeing these critical reviews.
Anyway fast forward to the end of April we get our last snow fall which isn’t abnormal for this region of the country and they said to let them know when to ship. Initially they said Monday, May 5th…never heard from them…keep in mind I was the one that kept reaching out after I let them know it was time. Then on Wednesday May 7th I asked if they were shipping that week, they said Thursday May 8th looked the best. Nothing all day, sent another text at the end of day MST would be about 8:30 their time and they said “I’m sorry! I thought I responded. Work has been busy.” That there were storms in Memphis so I was like okay I was reassured that she was watching for bad weather and the only thing that bothered me is the complete lack of communication.
Then on Sunday May 11th my sim card for my cell phone died/burnt out and couldn’t get cellular service all that next week so on Monday May 12th I identified who I was and explained I was using a loner device they said that was supposed to be the day, then later I inquired again and their response “Ok. Tomorrow. There's a severe thunderstorm alert in Florida and up east coast” which was the last corresponce I received from them. Sent a couple follows before I contacted Morph Market on Thursday May 15th and I filed later that same day with PayPal after seeing their seller page could not be found. Then that following day May 16th is when MM said they had been banned. They never responded to the PP dispute not that there’d be anything to justify any of this but just so everyone is aware they are not to be trusted even if they are a paying member/benefactor on this site.
