Hello fellow newt enthusiasts! I will be at the Marriott Hoffman Estates (4800 Hoffman Blvd., Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60192) on Sunday Sept. 26th for a tropical fish fair. In addition to several species of corydoras I breed - will have the following:
Alpine (Ichthyosaura alpestris apuanus) 2" in length - $30. ea. 30 available (Any quantity pre-order, non preorder - bagged up for fair in bags of 3)
Ribbed (Pleurodeles waltl) Normal color M/F mature pr. available $80 pr. One pr. only available
Smooth (Lissotriton vulgaris) 2" in length $20. ea. Only 7 available
Danube Crested (Triturus dobrogicus) 4" in length $70 pr. 10 pr. available. Single males $35 ea. 5 available. Male dobrogicus starting to crest.
Pre- orders welcome and encouraged. Only have a 6' table and I normally bring over 100 bags of fish and 50 bags of plants. Fitting 4 species of newts to the mix makes for a very crowded table and pre-order may be the only way to guarantee newt availability.
All newts kept fully aquatic. Eating frozen bloodworm, frozen brine shrimp, live blackworm, live whiteworm and crushed snails. Ribbed and Danube Crested also eat pellets.
