    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I haven't had an issue I couldn't resolve on my own in 5 years, and most people I have purchased from aren't on the BOI, good or bad... so I quit checking.

Half the threads here get so ridiculous it takes 5 hours to make heads or tails of anything anyway... so it didn't seem worth my time anymore. I didn't even read the entirety of this thread... just the first and final 3 pages or so...

Oops, my bad... guess I will check before I send money now...

I find this incredible that after someone helped him to ship out the past round of animals he dares to go and do this again. I think this was after he kind of slammed someone who posted on one of his trade ads in regards to what he had done by taking money and not shipping animals out. He was all defensive saying it had been taken care of...Just amazing

Cin, I was the one who slammed his FS ad on here and PM'd JB on pangea about the ad there...shame I didn't get to it earlier.

So I finally heard back today. Funny, because I escalated the paypal claim last night because a breeder I've made multiple purchases from has an animal I want, and I can't afford to buy it unless I get this money back.

Here's the communication, including my response and the previous two e-mails that I can't remember if I posted or not..

After reading the thread on the BOI, I want my money back. I cannot trust
that you will be able to ship then, and the absolute lack of communication
the past two weeks is absolutely unacceptable.

If you can ship them safely before paypal goes through with the
investigation, I will accept the animal and resolve the issue with paypal
so you can keep your money.

Considering temperatures are 20 degrees below average nationally, I have
trouble believing temperature is the reason for a lack of shipment. What
is your zip code?

Wow... check out this speedy response!!

Well I didn't ask you to ship right this moment, no matter that the
weather channel says its only 85 making your quote a gross exaggeration. I
would like to schedule a day and not have you disappear off the face of
the earth for 2 weeks, or worse yet, 2 months.

Monday next week will be too cold here, but the forecast can change
considerably over the next 5 days.

If you want to try to work this out, we can try for shipping on Tuesday,
but I expect you to be in touch with me over the weekend so we can monitor
temperatures together and determine if a warm pack will be needed.

Honestly Alinda, I'd go through with the claim and move on. Considering his track record, I would expect the gecko to be shipped. Maybe I'm wrong? Hope so, but doubt it. Good luck!
 
I do not think there is a reptile in this world that would make me want to finish a transaction with Chad Johnson. I would submit the claim through PayPal and end this ASAP.
Why take the chance of him disappearing again and stopping communication? By then the PayPal time will be up and you will be without money and without a gecko....
Just my thoughts

Please just get your money back from Paypal while you can. Chad still has the gecko I originally bought back in February! I had a claim in with paypal, and thought everything was resolved, since Chad gave Jordan Russell "my"gecko to ship to me. Time was up and the paypal case closed, I received a gecko, but not the one I bought. Once the case closes w/ paypal, it can not be reopened. So now I at least had a gecko, but not the one I bought:(. I have been trying to get in touch with Chad since, the last time he got back to me was 3 weeks ago. He said he'd ship mine out and send me the $ to ship the other one back to him. That never happened. I have taken care of this little gecko now for weeks, I've watched him eat and grow, and I've spent time with him, and I have fallen in love with him now. At this point, I'm SO done with him. I'm keeping the one that I was sent, and don't care to do anymore of any kind of business with Chad!
He's a liar.

My advice would be to continue the claim and try to get your money back. If he ships you the gecko and it is the wrong sex, wrong gecko period, or worst of all dead, you will have no recourse with Pay Pal. If he ships a package to you your chances of getting any resolution after that are slim to none. Just trying to help.
 
Claim is ongoing... he said he'd ship this week, but low and behold... nothing!

His chance to speak with paypal ended today... hopefully I'll have more information tomorrow.
