• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I'm a little late, been busy...Boderick, Donna is very correct when she says that the Crested community is VERY tight. I've known most of those (including Tara) posting here for several years through the forums, and they are great people. You'll find we stick together, and watch each others' backs.

If you plan to join our 'Crested Family' in the future, you'll have a lot of hard work ahead of you. You'll need to prove that you are, in fact, not Chad lying about his identity, that you are not someone that continues to make excuses for why you don't follow through, and many other things. You had a GREAT opportunity to do this already, and you squandered it. Hopefully this time you'll do what's right.

Please post the tracking number, and PLEASE tell me you checked the temps? With the heat wave, this could kill the poor thing, especially since you have it shipped for 12:30 rather than 10:30.

Tara, if you received a tracking number, I'd call the shipping company and see if they can hold the little one at your nearest FedEx/UPS center to avoid the gecko going out into the hot truck all day. Good luck Tara, I hope this time you'll finally receive the little one.
 
I have the tracking #, he used USPS to ship, and its for arrival by 12pm. Our temps were extremely hot here in NJ until last night, we had a huge hail storm (it looked like it snowed here!) The temps went from 93 to 68 in a matter of minutes, tonights its supposed to be 71 and not reaching 80 until after 12 tomorrow, so hopefully all will go well.
 
Just wanted everyone to know that he did arrive today...Im really busy at work, more of an update and pix will be posted this evening :)

I just got caught up reading this entire thread last night. Glad you finally got your Gecko, Tara! I'm glad the guy stuck with his word through all this. The way he is seen now is up to the reader to decide whether they want to deal with this guy or not. I think we all know what the answer to that is.

I'm glad you got your gecko and everything was okay.

For the few people that questioned the times: UPS and Fed-Ex don't have 10:30 delivery everywhere. My delivery is noon here. I have shipped to someone else whose next day air was for end of day. It's something everyone should look into when shipping. Don't always assume that everyone will receive their animals at the same time.
 
OK, I'm going to have to show pix and details tomorrow unfortunately, for some reason my interents not working :( (I'm on my phone). I just typed up at least a paragraph of details....and somehow deleted it:angry: ugh! You aren't really missing too much anyway...the little bugger wouldn't fire up :(

So pix and details tomorrow :( I'm just as upset as you are I was so bummed that I couldn't introduce you to her.

Believe me, I can't wait to show you! Verizon tried to have me reboot my system, but it didn't work :( So they are coming out tonight, hopefully to fix it! I've been w/o my computer & cable for 4 days! I'm seriously going through withdrawl, this phones a PITA. Hopefully you'll have updates tonight.
