I wanted to let every one know how my recent transaction went Charlie Dube. The way this was handled has been very unprofessional so far and I consider this to be bad guy business. Maybe not intentionally at first but he has nothing to say about the situation so I stand with my opinion about him.
I recently contacted Charlie Dube via email through kingsnake regarding his ad selling Uroplatus Sikorae. He confirmed my order would consist of one male and two good looking females. At first he try to charge me $70 more than what the ad even said. After confirming price of what was posted and my order description. I paid in full via pay pal.
I get my package first thing in the am. Very light package and it was in the upper 40's that morning in Ohio. Day before was 60's 50's F and dropping. No heat pack either which may of been ok. I think it should have been packaged better.Especially shipping uroplatus on a thurs. Which is unheard of as well to me so far.Now for the package. Inside the box, at least was lined with thin styrofoam. There were 3 small cloth bags taped shut, laying loose in some newspaper. That was it. No moisture nothing. Very cold motionless geckos I cut out of these tiny bags. I never got geckos is bags before usually in delis w moist moss or paper towels. They looked very skinny and in pretty bad shape. All 3 drank for a few hrs. They were all split up into their own fully planted enclosures with proper atmosphere that had been monitored before hand. That night I knew I had 2 males I thought and a very bad off female. The 2 would eat hunt and act normal. the 3rd I was worried about as I thought she was my only female as well. Anyways she died 6 days later never ate a thing , never even attempted or ever looked a bit interested in any food. The others are actively hunting anything in sight.
I did email seller before death explaining he made a mistake on sexing and I would like to work something out if possible since that is not what i paid for or was described. In the end I posted the death of my female on Geckos Unlimited. I was told it was another male. So all in all I was sold 3 rough males which one died in 6 days and there was nothing I could do. It was terrible shape. So skinny you could see the ribs from across the room. To weak to climb and had shed stuck on feet and face. I know the risk of WC animals but that gecko should not have been shipped at all. It was already on the verge of certain death and he had to know she wasnt eating and nothing much to it.
He does not admit to sending the wrong sex and has no comment on the other gecko. Im to the point of putting this behind me and just wanted to inform how the transaction went down. Yes I did get 3 geckos at a good price. Completely wrong order though he sent and very ill gecko.
The other 2 are doing ok.Hydrating well now and eating when fed. They are skinny , but with a little bit of time and care Id expect they will be back to proper weights and health.
Heres a few pictures of the geckos and the one that died. See how skinny he was especially that back legs. This pictures was minutes after death.

I do have emails of the whole transaction as well as pictures. At this point im already excelled it to paypal claim to decide on what they think is fair. He is not acknowledging any wrong doing on his part. From sexing or poor animals. Im not looking for a full refund at all. I do think at this point I may deserve one though.
For future reference I would never recommend CHARLIE to any one. Very unprofessional.
