Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Cody, I think we figured out you're looking for something other than what I have for sale, but I'll be happy to give a few references for you or anyone else reading this, along with just a little back ground.
I was in this hobby from 92-03,04ish before selling out, fall of 2010 I decided I missed it too much and started buying back in, mostly with young animals so I still have produced and sold very little as many of my animals have been growing up.
I'm at the Dixie reptile show most months and can often be found at the KRE Bowling Green KY and Repticon Atlanta shows.
Some of the guys I can offer for reference would be Tom Harbin, John Woolard, Terry Heuring and Jeff Holloway.

I've met and bought animals from Charlie at the NARBC show. Seems to be an outstanding guy, with nice animals.

I think it is great that Cody has come to the BOI to research those he is purchasing from. It is a great way for us to know the kind of people we are dealing with. With that being said I do a search on here before I sell snakes to someone as well. I have sold a few snakes to Cody and he is an awesome customer and takes great care of his snakes. I would never hesitate to send him more snakes.

Trace, thanks for the good word, the animals I picked up from you in our deal are doing great and I would certainly encourage anyone to do business with you...actually, you might want to pm Cody and see if he is still looking...
Christen thanks for the input, it's not that I wouldn't do business with Cody, I would love to sell him a pair of animals, but he didn't totally understand an add that he replied to of mine. When I sent him some pictures of baby colombian rainbows and he asked about why they weren't more orange already, I realized that he wasn't aware of the difference in colombian and brazilian rainbows. After I explained that to him, I made a couple of suggestions of who he might get brb's from for people who I saw adds up of at the time (sorry Trace, I didn't see any adds up of yours then so I didn't know if you did something to sell out or not) because the only brb's I have are anery and het anery which are in a whole different price range.
I have no problem at all and think it was smart of Cody to try to check me out some, I have a feeling he posted the inquiry right before we figured out the animals he was asking me about weren't what he was really looking for. I know there isn't much out there on me because of being out of the hobby for awhile, so I just wanted to leave some references for anyone else that might happen to look me up also.
It's all good.

I have not personally talked to Cody so I have no idea if you have talked and about what. For where I am sitting it just appears as Cody as making an inquiry since you don't have any BOI's, which is what I would do. Since I had no idea of a prior conversation the respond that you posted kind of put me of, to be honest. I would have walked away and spent my money else where.
I think it was great to post referances though since you don't yet have any BOI's. I hope that some of the people come forward and do post their possible feedback. It does help people feel more comfortable dealing with someone they know others have had a positive experience with.
