    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Check out my new cage!!!

I built this thing in about 2 weeks (using these instructions http://708designs.netfirms.com/customcage/customcage.htm) I think it turned out pretty well... It is 4'x2'x2' and it will house my trio of BDs...

Looks pretty wicked! It reminds me of something Jurassic Parkish...or maybe it's Flinestonish...either way, it looks pretty interesting. I'm not crafty enough to build that kind of thing:p

It cost around $100... But I already had a *lot* of the stuff necessary on hand (including the paint, glass and polystyrene) so it would cost a whole lot more if you had to start from scratch with no supplies... And sorry, not only do I not have the time to build more of these, shipping would be *way* too much...

The cage looks great! Beardies are pretty good jumpers. I expect it won't be long before you find it hanging out on the top edges of the cage. It can get pretty close to the top with no screen. Mine rarely go anywhere after they get up there but keep an eye out for it.

Thanks for the heads up... I bought some screen, just in case, but only plan to use it if I find out they can actually get out.

I wouldn't take the chance, you could come home and find them gone. Iv'e learned that if a beardie has a possibility to escape he will exploit it.

hey i am trying to build mine from the same desighn,so far its simple,but i am going to have to wait until the hurricane passes over to finish it so far all its cost me is just @60 buck i got this old 6 draw dresser down the road for free so,the most expensive piece will probably be the glass for me im doing the sliding lass windows on mine.my beardi is not goingto know what to do with all that room.i see u put in a sand box.i wonder if mine will miss the sandy subsrate, maybe i should make some kinda place to hold sand also.maybe make it 50/50 well i hape mine looks as good as youres,i love that sighn"attack lizard'were did u get it? well ill post pics of mine as soon as i get it up in about a week or two.

LOL! i know about that ALL too well, i came home one day to find my young females cage screen ajar. She didn't actaully leap down and go missing, but she was hanging out/chilling on the edge of the tank!

That is why I made the rock wall, it makes much better use of space as they spend as much time on the walls and ledges as on the ground. So the answer is yes, normally 8 feet is to small, but when you make better use of your available space, it works great!
