    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My wife and I finally finished our bathroom. My house is 113 years old and we made our upstairs sunroom into a bathroom. We totally gutted the room, including the floors. We insulated, put in a new subfloor and tile, cabinets, granite, backsplash, walls, custom texture and faux finish, papered the ceiling, hung fixtures, fixed eleven windows, window treatments, everything.

The window seat houses two litter boxes for our cats who access it through a cased opening in the hallway. The lid slides back and removes for cleaning.

The sink is hand hammered copper and the stand is a table base that had a glass top.

I made the base from 8" wide pine boards with my router, painted it and stained over the paint with two coats of poly to finish.

We did everything ourselves and I thought it would never get done. It was quite the long road.

Hope you like it.

Room by room your house (project) is really coming together nicely. The bathroom looks fantastic, Art!!!!

Thanks Cat! We bought a bunch of stuff on Ebay and saved a bundle. We had fun with the sink area. I like how the faucet comes out from the wall.

Very cool Art!! You did nice work!!

Art, that is truly outstanding!!! I really like that you kept the theme and integrity of the old and added the flare of the modern. I am a huge antique nut, 98% of my furniture is turn of the century, and it has always been a dream of mine to restore an old home. Congrats on a job well done and keep the photo's coming!!!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the nice comments.

.....That's a good dream to have. You might want to keep it that way. I shave my head so I don't pull my hair out. :)

Seriously though. I love my house but I consider it a hobby for sanity purposes. Even when I'm through with the inside then I get to do the outside. I am going to burn all the paint off with a heat gun and totally redo the outside. Here is a picture of the outside.
