In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all,

This is my first post, so forgive me if it isn't in the right spot...

I've kept leos for a while now and wanted to add something new to my collection. The chinese cave geckos that I came across on lllreptiles.com looked unique enough and seem to have similar care requirements as my current babies, but I couldn't find much more info on them. Does anybody here keep them, or know much about them?

Thanks!!
Jennifer

BTW, I just got in 5 terrific SHTCT's from Garrick. I wish I knew how to load pics here, they are really nice!

Errr,

Just in case anybody thought otherwise, I'll be keeping my leos separate from any other species I happen to get.

There's a thread somewhere around here regarding multi-species terrariums that made my skin crawl (I'm pretty sure it was a hoax).

Congrats on the new leos, and welcome to Fauna. :)

Chinese leopard geckos are very interesting and rewarding geckos to keep and breed. They are a bit more delicate than leos and require a higher humidity as well as regular misting. Here is a thread from a while back in which we discussed them.

I suggest trying to find some captive bred animals to start with. Imported Goniurosaurus will almost always have a parasite load and will also need rehydrating. CB's are much easier to start with. Good luck, and post pics of those new leos when you are able to! :)

LLLReptiles doesn't seem to have a very good rep; do you think I should take the chance and buy a pair of Chinese Leopard Geckos from them?

I've looked all over the net and can't find any others for sale.

If anybody knows a reputable breeder that deals with these, I'd love to hear about it!

Chinese cave geckos are very docile and do require a higher humidity they are fun to keep but i don't know about breeding them i only have a female
