How did you produce this morph? A new dominant morph must be proven and be able to reproduce its color faithfully in future generations. It's a tangerine line, so isn't recessive.

How many generations are behind this project and how many pairs do you have consistently producing this "morph"? New morphs aren't developed overnight.

There is a big difference between inbreeding and line breeding. Which are you doing?

How can you suggest inbreeding to set the trait if you aren't offering the animals for mating that are necessary and they can't be purchased anywhere else, except from "Urban gecko," who isn't "even selling them"? Why is his link not offered here, for that additional purchase to perpetuate the line? And you want to take sibling to sibling? Not parent back to an offspring?

When I began my tangerine lines, I had muddy throwbacks that appeared much like the animal you list here. I cleaned up my lines and we offer rich tangerines now. If you are creating a new morph, again, I ask - how many generations established is it and where can mates be purchased, to keep the line going?

Ron Tremper is excited and working on turquoise Leos. He only states his results thus far, and that the blue fades with age. He has nothing to sell. He offers the information, to see if others have stumbled upon this coloration, and to see if he can get it established and accepted as a viable morph, in time (and to astound us all). It takes over a year per generation, to see if the offspring can pass on a trait and another year for those babies to grow up, and a year beyond that, etc.

Until an animal is consistantly producing the "morph" in question - it's just that - a question.

I see no point to offering a single animal that can't be bred to anything else and keep the "new morph" going. For a new morph, you need to offer up a 'lot' of animals, or at least a mate guaranteed to produce this morph beyond the coloration of the one animal, unless you are hoping someone will just want it for a pet. Let's face it - $5,000 is an expensive Leo pet!

****NP - We've all been mislead/taken at one time or another. It happens. If you like the darker morph, just keeping breeding animals that are similar to her and maybe you can set the trait. Good luck.

Hi, for sale i have a chocolate carrottail leopard gecko. She was line bred, and is a very rare and expensive morph. The only other person I know who has them is Urban Gecko, but he doesnt even sell his. She can be inbred to expand this morph. I am asking $5,000 obo. Possibly trades. Tell me what you got. Just ask for more pics. Thanks!!

do you have any response to the questions about this same gecko on the other post? How did the price double on this thread?
