Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all, back in mid December I contacted Chris Holmes (username is Made4 Reptiles) about the pair of green tree monitors he, allegedly, had available. I sent him an email with a few things I had a available for trade. After some negotiations we eventually came to a deal. I sent him a sub adult pair of Irian Jaya Jaguar carpets and a 1.0 breeder Mojave Spider ball. He has since been unresponsive and as of yesterday deleted his email ([email protected]). I am not sure what kind of recourse I have at this point. I should have done more research on who this guy was before entering into any agreement. I will use this as a lesson learned.

Sorry you git scammed like this but thanks for posting it. I was just about to contact him about a chondro he advertised that I wanted to buy. I wonder how my deal would have unfolded as I wanted to pick up the snake I was interested in. When did you ship ... the weather here has not been even close to shipping temps.

Anyway, I did a search on the name but came up with nothing which made me think he was Ok do deal with.

Thanks again for posting your experience with him.
 
Maybe you should post some pics of the animals you sent him in case he tries to sell them here or on Kingsnake ....
 
Here is a photo of the male mojave spider and one of the male irian jaya jaguar(with a large normal IJ female). The female IJ jag looked virtually identical, though I can't find any pictures of her...

I am having the same issue with this guy, he deleted his email and stopped answering his texts. I made a trade attempt with him, and when i sent the snakes, over 1000 dollars worth of milks and kings, in trade for a pair of leacheanus geckos. He decided he didn't want to trade, it took him forever to tell me he didn't want the snakes and then it became too cold for shipping. So in this case he said he would brumate them and send them back in spring. He seemed legit, so i didn't worry about it. Then i see these bad posts about him that ive never seen before and the exact same thing is happening to others. So now he has my snakes and wont answer and he has had them since fall and texted me all the way up to late November. Then i just kinda sat back and waited and now he wont answer at all. This is pissing me off and I can believe i was stupid enough to trust someone like this, but this isn't the end of it. I will keep trying to get a hold of him until spring and after that i will further figure something out. It could mean going to his house, who knows.
 
Chris Holmes, Brian Cross ... sounds familiar to me too, Harald.

Sean, what address did you send your snakes to? What phone number did he text you from?
 
I can't believe this kind of stuff still keeps happening. Honest question though, is it even possible to involve the law in matters like these? It is theft isn't it, you'd assume you'd be able to contact his local police department and find a friend local to him that could go with the officer to remove the snakes.

I recall a while back someone who got their snakes stolen in a trade posted in the BOI and a member local to the thief volunteered to go get the snakes back and it worked!

Scum like Chris Holmes/Brian Cross or whatever it is he goes by should be locked up. It has become too easy to cheat people in the reptile industry.
 
Osage a post about the two names. The address is the same address I saw on the post. I sent to Baltimore Maryland. His number is or was 443-691-6337, and the Email used was [email protected]. When I try to send emails to him it says email does not exist. So he deleted it. When I get the time I can explain the whole entire story and show how the whole thing was sketchy. I don't know why I trust people this much. And I am very tempted to take a trip to that address and contact the police and get all my animals back and a few other victims of his!!!
 
The email that I am currently using to contact him is [email protected]. I'm in the process of trying to get my male Leachianus gecko from him because he backed out of the deal. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on how this plays out.
 
If he isnt answering his phone and deleting his email accounts, i would say it is a safe bet he has and never had any intention of doing what he should have
 
For all those of you who have scammed by this guy, I have contacted the police in his area and they said they would be willing to help if we filed a police report. I plan on filing a police report very soon so maybe if they get enough people filing reports against him, they will investigate hopefully.
 
Dude, Im sorry to say, Baltimore is filled with scumbags. Future readers should be aware of being careful of doing business with baltimore hooligans. Most Marylanders avoid Baltimore as much as they can. The other types of crime are so bad, the police wont have time to go after this scum.

Sorry if this is brings further bad news..
