Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I did not state it was my stance. If it were, I wouldn't even be here, let alone stating it. I am just suggesting that notifying his employer will probably not have the effect others think, if any effect at all.

Being a part of that small percentage, I have a great deal of concern over what Chris has done or is doing, and would not give him the time a day. However, I also understand that the general public will most likely not share my concerns.

I guess my point is if I had a bad day and made some dumb statement to the cashier out of irritation I hope she wouldn't be sitting there with a tape recorder to turn into my employer. I just really do think it is a cheap shot unless there is circumstances warranting it, which in this case I don't think it really did. I think it was more a case of you are irritating and pissing me off so I'm going to get you. Like Bart stated if you were to call my employer and tattle on something I said on the forum 1. I would be surprised if they read the thread. 2. More surprised if they took any interest in it and responded. The people I work with aren't interested in reptiles or forums (not sure why). 3. Most surprised if there was any consequences.

Wes I know you have used this tactic before and I don't remember the reasons why but this is one of those tactics I don't agree with. Maybe that is why so many keep as much personal as they can :yesnod: .
 
Scott I agree that redirecting sites to unsavory places is inexcusable but isn't it a crime to do so? Had he done this isn't he practically admitting to his deed which would make it easy to track the culprit and go after him?

Many of us on here have had less than stellar moments why drag everyone and their dog into it? Anyway people here do what they want so I just wanted to raise those questions. I'm done.

On the flip side maybe we can contact his neighbors and possible church friends and get depositions from them.
 
Mark, when you have an opponent and it's a your or them confrontation, which most are when you boil it down to brass tacks, it is an excellent tactic AND has the added bonus of making others, as well as the one recieving, think twice in the future.

If no one is ever made an example of, there are no examples to look at and say, "man, I hope that never happens to me," over.

This clown got out of line and got his neck stepped on. It's fitting.
 
If such as you state is indeed your stance, why bother stating it at all? It will have no effect on anyone outside this small world we inhabit, will affect nothing of any signifigance.

I hardly ever agree with going off site (to the poster's employer for example). It is pretty extreme in most circumstances and really is just a Rambo mentality. "I've got bigger stick and I can hurt you bad". In reality though, it will hardly have any affect. Just the fact that we deal with reptiles puts us all in the "wacko" group with most people. I can just see my boss now. "Some guy from some snake thing emailed me". Believe me they could care less what's going on here and do not relate it to their own world in the least.

I had a long talk with the 2 who were involved in this and they are both very apologetic. I think it wise in the future that before some of you post sensitive information that could get someone into trouble you first make absolute sure that it is who it appears to be. I am requesting my personal information be removed ( I still love this site and am glad Im back). It does not bother me in the least if it is not, just a request to you to show your professionalism as well. I think ethically and morally it was a Rambo mentality. By the way they both love reptiles and at 13 are just boys. If we had computers when we were growing up Im sure we would not have been angels.

I'm also sure that taking responsibility for actions is something that 13 year olds should be taught. It's too bad IF what you say about there being 2 13 year olds is true, but if it is, then this is a lesson that will hopefully keep them from being 18 year old inmates.
 
And yes I am from Michigan a real yooper- Not Yuper. I plan on changing back my contact info and I have put heavy restrictions on the computer. Thanks Guys and thanks to all you did not jump so quickly.

Chris, if you voluntarily give either password or access out to others, it is up to you to monitor what is done, not up to the rest of the world to somehow assure the identity of each person who posts.
If someone fraudulently assumes the identity of another and causes damage, it is they you look to.

If indeed that is what happened, I am not convinced that the kid card is being played to get you out of the hot seat.
 
Never did any posts just looked at the posts as I was interested in possibly getting a boa and found the site very helpful.

I was never in the hot seat but am concerned about the next person this happens to. Especially someone who you may get into trouble by applying the "get the guy" mod mentality. No Harm done on either part.
