• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Chris Teem is a Fraud - Dart Frogs

Let's get over the semantics of what is and what isn't a quote. We don't need dictionary citations.

... Are you sure you don't need dictionary citations? I was just trying to be helpful, 'cause it seems like you're still using the word improperly.

The specific infraction is titled "Anonymous third party quotation". Included in this is accusations and information provided anonymously by a third party.
Every statement made on the BOI must be attributed to an actual person who is identified. Even though you didn't repeat what others told you verbatim in the form of an official quote, you still relayed their statements and experiences without them being identified.

If you have any further complaints about the infraction you received, take it to the feedback forum.

I don't mind the infraction. I don't use this forum. It's like I said earlier, I came here for _you_, not for me. I would like you and yours to stay safe from this predator. My issue is not at all the infraction. It's the use of the word "quotation" being used to cover a far broader spectrum than the actual word means (or even implies). Say what you mean and mean what you say, if you can't do that then neither you nor your cronies should be getting on my case when I don't play by the rules you intended, but were unable to adequately articulate.

Do what you want. Buy something from Chris Teem... don't buy something from him. I don't care anymore. I'll simply conclude by wishing you all the best of luck in your business transactions before this thread takes a turn for the nasty (which I was really hoping to avoid from the get-go). May our next meeting (should there be one) be far more amicable.

Feedback- Negative

Transaction date: 8/14/2011

I purchased a "probable pair" of Solarte from Chris on 8/14, along with some cultures.

As far as the cultures go, he said he did not have them but would be going to NC the following Saturday and could pick them up then. After that Saturday, he did not have them and he said he would have them this past weekend. I was scheduled to pick up the cultures from him today, but instead asked for a refund based on the Solarte transaction, which I will explain in a second. The communication would have been non-exisistent if I had not gotten in touch with him. I don't feel like it is the buyer's responsibility to seek out information on their transaction, they should be kept in the loop by the seller if things are delayed.

Originally, Chris told me that one frog was an adult, and the second was 7-8 months+, and that he had them for several months before selling them. Both when I received them and later via PM, I mentioned that the 'female' looked either male or very young... no response on that front. I found out today (from the person who sold the frogs to Chris) that the older frog was 6 months, the younger frog 4 months (too young to sex as a female), and he had acquired them just two weeks earlier. When I spoke with him today, he claimed that he thought it was 1 adult and 1 @ 6 months, which differs from what he told me originally at the beginning of this paragraph.

Chris posted that transaction in vendor feedback on Dendroboard for the seller, the transaction date was 7/26/11 and the post date was 8/12/2011.. I left the quote out because I assume the seller does not want his name involved with this.

I spoke with Chris on the phone and let him know that I feel I was flipped a pair of frogs that were far too young to be sold as a probable pair, and for that reason I wasn't comfortable waiting any longer for the cultures and wanted a refund for them. It has been two weeks since then and still no refund, even though he said he would.

I would not recommend doing business with Teem.

Just to add to this, I separated the two Solarte last night out of curiosity and the "probable female" started calling almost immediately (1-2 hours at most). I suspect that he knew this beforehand, especially because he didn't respond to any PMs I sent about them both looking like young males.

Not only were they over 4-5 months younger than advertised (too young to sex without hearing calling), but there were ZERO indications of that second frog being female. He claimed he needed the money ASAP "for a car payment" before the frogs got into my hands, so I couldn't turn the frogs down as soon as I received them (I did mention that it looked male and he claimed that he had a friend who had females and would be up for an easy swap if it started calling "in the next few months"... the subsequent times I mentioned it, no response).... all I had was a picture and his reputation (which, in the public eye, was good as of the purchase date) to go on.

I've opened a paypal dispute (notified him via paypal), and I'm happy to return the frogs for a full refund since they aren't what I paid for.. but that offer will only be open for so long before I open a claim.

Holy hell… More of the BS where the people that live on Fauna shoot the messenger; I thought that new guidelines had been established on this? As I don’t have time to transcribe my post on the other thread I will post screen shots. For the love of god I hope its good enough, maybe even good enough to be considered a quote????
