In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Christina Davis, akai ga.will not refund money

Ah that clears up things greatly. I was reading into an article about legislation on snappers in maryland, im not sure If i can post the link here or not ( It may fall under an anonymous third person link), but from what I read it is legal to "catch" and "keep / consume" up to 5 of them per day (with a valid fishing license) but illegal to trap them. From what I hear NY is attempting to protect them even though they are abundant. Long story short im not positive if it was legal to receive one through mail, but once you have the turtle chances are good its legal to keep (in newyork), even though there native.

Id still do some more research before contacting the police because the laws and regulations of buying and transporting the turtle from georgia to newyork are still a little sketchy imo.

hope i helped

Ah, the old "I'm not set up to take Paypal so you have to Western Union it to me" scam. In my opinion, unless you personally know the seller, it is never advisable to send someone a money order. You have no recourse should you get scammed. When someone tells me they can't take Paypal, I don't buy, or if it's within driving distance, I go pick up the animal. I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope you get it resolved, but in the future don't send money orders.

hi i sent the moneygram payment from a moneygram location inside a walmart store.this is how cristina davis asked to be paid.she said she was not setup to take paypal as payment, which is how i wanted to pay.but i agreed to send her payment through moneygram. it was sent to the following address,
Cristina Davis
2952 valley court
Conyers Georgia 30012
I sent it on 6/5/10 at 12:08.istill have my reciept from moneygram and the reference number that i emailed to her so she could pic up the payment.i sent $125 plus $11 charge from moneygram for a total of $136.

Did you actually have correspondence that indicated you were dealing with a Christina Davis? The email you listed showed J.J Price as the recipient (aka Dustin Draper), and both the email you were using & the one tied to the akai_ga account are definitely Dustin's

the email that i corresponded with cristina davis is
"j.j Price" <[email protected]>
i never heard of anybody by the name of Dustin Draper.i only learned about him from the member who posted his info in this thread.

I just did some research on New York laws myself. In New York, the common snapping turtle is the only turtle species that is actually considered a game animal. The hunting season on them is July 15-September 30th. I'm assuming one needs to have a current small game hunting license in order to possess these animals. For more information on the law, go HERE.

Although almost all native reptiles and amphibians are protected in Georgia, the common snapping turtle is not (although the alligator snapping turtle is). For a list of prohibited species that can be collected/owned/possessed/sold, go HERE.

As far as I can tell, it is legal for someone in Georgia to own and sell a snapping turtle to someone in New York, although I am not one who condones the collection of wild herpetofauna for the pet trade for obvious conservation reasons, regardless of legality.

I understand that the account said Christina Davis...but the email said J.J Price. I take it that the emails were signed Christina Davis?
I guess I'm just surprised that different names don't register as a potential problem with more people. :shrug01:

I have found conflicting information - one statement on DEC's site indicates that native wildlife cannot be kept:
Please note:

•Native wildlife may not be kept as pets in New York State.
But I saw another reference, in a different section, that seemed to indicate that this was for potentially dangerous animals.

I also found a reference to importing game animals out of season - and the season on common snapping turtles doesn't open until July 15th - but it wasn't easy to get to that particular piece, and I have a headache......

hi HHmoore, the email adresss "j.j Price" <[email protected]> had no signature.when i was given the info to send the money the cristina davis name was given to me which matched her fauna name.this is the email from christina davis,

My information is as follows.

Christina Davis
2952 Valley Court
Conyers georgia 30012

Christina Davis is likely a girfriend, partner in scam or phantom ... as Harold pointed out, Dustin Draper seems most likely to be the REAL liar and thief.

http://www.rockdalecitizen.com/blotter/headlines/70537927.html
(Conyers is in Rockdale County - this listing is from 11-12-2009)

You have to scroll down that extensive listing I linked to find him, but here he is:
"Dustin Allen Draper, 23, 2952 Valley Court, battery — family violence. (RCSO)"

I don't know the process - anybody know if he should start with his local police dept?

Yes, you would have to do it at your local police and in person so they can verify that you are who you say you are. The police will not take a report over the phone and certainly not from someone from another state. (believe me I know this for a fact. :bandhead0)

Is this piece of garbage doing something to change or conceal his IP address or something? If not, why in the world isn't there a full IP ban on this oxygen theif?!?!

ummm - because every one of akai_ga's posts was a different IP address, and none of them matched any other members...
Besides, IP bans don't really keep out anybody with half a clue - they're too easy to get around (easy enough that even I could do it, and I think I functionally only have 3/8 of a clue)

I just noticed something interesting, although I'm not sure it's of any significant value. Here is the address where you sent the money gram:

Cristina Davis
2952 valley court
Conyers Georgia 30012

Now, I did a quick search with google white pages and there is only one Christina Davis listed for Conyers, but her address is different than the one above. Either Dustin was thumbing in the phone book looking for a name he could steal or he knows this woman, but regardless, it does not appear that Christina Davis herself directly received the money. This is certainly just circumstantial evidence, but the only Christina Davis I could find appears to be married considering her last name.

The public address listed on google white pages is:
Christina Davis-Leverette
(770) 602-4502
1072 Eastview Cir NE
Conyers, GA 30012-4572

Honestly though, I think you're just going to have to bite the $125. It certainly is fraud though, perhaps you can report it to the same internet crime agency we're reporting the Wise's to? DAND may be able to give you some good insight on how to proceed.
