    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

For years I received Christmas cards from my sister-in-law who has no children but is a cat lady. I figured it's only fair if she can send holiday cards to me featuring her cat, I could have my snake's send holiday cards back. Yea, I already know I have some issue because I celebrate pet birthdays and such but who cares. I ordered a few extra cards this year. I figured it would be a nice gesture/update to send a card to a few friends, people I bought snakes from, etc.

Anyway, I know some folks dont celebrate X-mas. I also know some folks worry about giving there address out. Either way that's cool by me, I dont want to offend anyone or cause stress (hey, they actually might be out to get you) but if your on my friend list or we talked a few times & your comfortable with it feel free to send me a private message with your address. I promise the address will disappear on the card gets sent try to get a card out to you.

I know this email is a little early but my order from vista print should be here soon & I'd like to get a list together. I ordered about 30 so I figured it would be easier to fill them out & send them in one shot. I dont expect that many folks to send me there address but I have other friends & family also who I like send them too. It's nice visiting & seeing they had to hang my card up up in there house with the other holiday cards they got. Thanks

Also if Romney considered it a "gift" to let children be on their parents' health insurance until they reach 26, I hate to see what he considers actual progress. We needed that legislation. It's more difficult today than it was for my parents' generation to get a good paying job with health insurance right out of college. I just got my first full-time job a couple weeks ago and I'm 24.

Okay, my feelings are starting to get hurt a little. 32 contacts & not a single inbox. I did mention I have no intent of stalking anyone & the cards I wanted to send out are just seasons greetings that don't cost anyone anything right? I don't care if I have to mail them all to inmates at the local prison, someone is getting my personalized snake Christmas card, lol.

Most people feel they get too many Christmas cards as it is. You are asking them to volunteer for another one. The ones I get from family and friends that have family (not pets) pictures are OK but if its a store bought (or worse yet a HSUS sponsored one like my Sister in law sent me one year) save your stamp. It going in the trash as soon as I read it (if I even read it)

I don't send em and I don't care if I don't get em.

I understand your point & your entitled to it 100%. If anyone took it that way or thought I was pressuring them I apologize, that wasn't my intent & your welcome not to receive a card. I totally respect your decision in not wanting to get holiday cards & hold no offense to it. Some people consider there pets family, get excited for the season, & enjoy getting cards. I just figured it would be nice to share some spirit with them.
 
I think it's a cute idea myself and have always appreciated the thought when recieving cards. I feel that it's sweet they took the time, but that may be just me, the holidays get me all warm and gushy~ :p
Our dog is usually featured somewhere on ours, but I'm sure I'd get more responses if I used one of my snakes... :reddevil:

I think its a cool idea...I like getting cards, though I rarely do since I'm not on friendly terms with half my family....they don't like "exotic" pets, jumping out of planes, jumping off stuff, and the list goes on, lol. I am definitely black listed....

Our family's policy is to always repay holiday mail, so let me know if you're comfortable with that idea and maybe we could have a little card exchange this year. :p
 
I actively despise the holiday season, but even a sourpuss like me might smile at a snake-themed card. It's very thoughtful of you to make the offer to complete strangers without the expectation of something in return. Altruism is a dying virtue.
 
Absolutely, as few people mentioned they would like to to be able to return cards which I think is totally awesome & I look forward to receiving. When I get an inbox with the address info I made sure to respond back with mine if asked. I actually sent out a decent amount of cards today, the holiday bug seems to be catching on. :)

Now you are all making me look bad. I guess I'm sort of a scrooge when it comes to Christmas but I wasn't trying to diminish what you were trying to do Christopher. I know you were not trying to push anyone into anything. In fact yeah, it is kind of nice to have people doing something without expecting something in return. lol, no what you said was fair & honestly. I dont blame folks who dont want to give out an address, I'm the same way with certain other things. I'm kind of getting a sense that as much as you want to fight it your getting in the spirit a little. I know it's a long shot but if you change your mind & deep down inside you think you might enjoy a card even if you plan on throwing it away the same day, you can "accidentally" send me your info, I'll "accidentally" send a card & we'll keep it our little secret. No pressure though & have a happy holiday either way:)
