On May 3, 2013, CITES banned the export of wild caught Emperor Scorpions from Benin and Togo. (See: http://www.fws.gov/le/publicbulletin/05-03-2013-Public-Bulletin-on-Trade-Suspensions.pdf )
This means wild-caught P. imperator imports will not be coming in and and the need to captive breed the species will increase along with prices for CB babies and CB juveniles of the species.
Buy them now at the regular prices before prices start increasing dramatically.
• Pandinus imperator "Emperor Scorpion", WC, Cites-II permitted stock (prior to May 3, 2013), unsexed juvs to adults, $10, 6+@$9.50 ea., gravid-looking females, $24
* After the previously imported (prior to 5/3/13) stocks sells out, ONLY captive-born babies and juveniles will be made available and expect prices to go up 2x or more with the high demand low supply problem the hobby will have until CB stock is made available in high numbers.
