    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Classifieds section can ONLY be posted in by paid members as of 03/06/07

I think its a good idea, even though I do like it when people bump posts from years ago and then several more post without reading the date. :rofl:

Now I just have to raid the couch for pennies, so I can get my coin :D

I really don't like it. I used to log on at least 20x's a day to read adds comments and everything. It seems like the "snakes for sale" section has grinded to a halt. Oh well, it was good while it lasted!

You can still do that, just pay the $25 to join. Or you can still read the ads and Pm or email the seller for free. You can't post any replies to KS ads so what is the difference? I'm sure Rich invests tons of his time and money into keeping this site running and the least you can do is chip in a measly 7 cents a day to enjoy all the benefits of the site.

Plus this is the slowest time of the year for "snakes for sale" anyways due to the cold weather for shipping and the fact that most everything is in the process of breeding right now.........

Yeah I agree. It was uncalled for. It aint like you were saying "I am done with this site" or anything like that.

Dont let it bother you though. It is only the small minded that cant accept the fact that not everyone is going to have the same opinion. So just keep it in perspective.

Curtis, I was just voicing my OPINION! I'm sue I will cough up the $25 and become a member. 'A post like that" what are you talking about??? It wasn't negative by any means! I know I have to keeo in mind your 15yrs and new here. I have bought several reptiles on here and was just dissappointed. Why don't you read the post after years and get a clue.

It's interesting how taking a small snippet of an entire post and using that mere snippet can turn an inocuous statement into a venom filled sting.

One would think that someone with the status, bought and paid for of course and not awarded for outstanding abilities or knowledge or citizenship, of a moderator, would be above such childish actions.

Of course, if one recalls that this same self promoted person of moderator status, not necessarily ability, is GUILTY of far worse editing and deleting of other posts merely to further HER ajenda, then I suppose this comes as no real surprise.

Can't teach an old dog new tricks but you sure can get her to do the old familiar ones, I see.

Thanks Wliomn! I didn't mean anything by it at all. I love this site! It sounds like you know more about this person than I do. This is just the 1st negative reply I have ever recieved. I have heard that there a rude people out there and I guess I just found one. I apprciate the support averone! I will drop it now. Again thanks for all the nice one ones out there!!!

HA!!! Don't let Harald fool you. He's just tired from climbing Mt. Babydoll over and over and over.

And over.

And over.

And over.

It's got some sweet peaks (and valleys) too, well worth the climbing.

Might want to consider getting some climbing gear, ropes, carbieners, jumars, harnesses, all that good stuff, oh tired and cranky one.
 
Is there any way to make it more obvious for people unfamiliar with the site how to contact classifieds advertisers now that the unpaid cannot reply to the ad?

For example, you can left click on their user name and the options to PM or Email the person come up, but it took me a while to find this in the beginning.

Is there any way to add buttons at the bottom that say "send this person a private message" or "email this person" like the buttons that currently say "ads" "gallery" and "quote"?

Obviously advertisers would be wise to just put their contact info. in the body of the ad.
 
Jon just do what I do, put an email link in the add and ask that they please contact you that way...Randy
 
I miss the $10 membership :( Since I posted on the classifieds maybe 3 times it is not something I really use (and I didnt sell anything), but I like being a member. However to me (I am poor) $25 is really more than I am comfortable spending. I guess since my membership expired in feb I do have to pay it so I am rethinking if I really should or should not.....since I take FOREVER to decide on anyting it will most likely take me a year or so to decide. But why dose the membership fee keep going up? Will it be $50 next year? I know this will be blasted but I do like the site, I understood the fee but I have been priced out.
