    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Are both Classifieds systems staying?

The classifeds here don't seem to get the traffic they do on other sites and I think it's partly because they are divided up into two separate systems, each with different ads. Checking both systems just doesn't seem worth it to me and I can never remember which is being phased out or in. I know some people like one over the other... Personally, I'd like to see it whittled down to one; I'd pick whichever is "easier" to maintain and if they both work equally well, maybe post a poll and go with the winner and scrap the other.

The Misc. Coulbrids and Other Snakes also seem to end up being redundant. I don't know what the logistics are like, but since the volume of ads posted is currently pretty low, maybe it would be best to consolidate some of the categories. Then, if volume pics up for a particular group to the point that other groups are being buried, it could be split back out. For example, Agamids, Uros, Tegus, Skinks, and Iguanas could easily be consolidated under Other Lizards.

One thing that I think would make the classifieds more attractive would be putting the original post date in the header display. I've found it very frustrating to do a search for something particular, then once I'm reading it realize that it's from 2 years ago and it's only at the top because someone recently responded to it who didn't see the date.
