In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Clutch #2 :)

Very kewl!! Not much longer now right?

And also I'm sure ill enjoy trying maternal incubation. I've been doing a lot of research on it. Might actually try it next year. We will have to see how things go! But at least I get to enjoy all the photos and videos you post! :)

Blah I accidentally deleted it, meant to say "not much longer now right? Only like 3 1/2 weeks left!"

Yeah, we're up to day 38 now so we're over the halfway point. Not too much longer now. :)

If you decide to try it out next year, do be sure to get lots of pics!

We're up to day 58 now and the eggs have been sweating a bit for about a week now. Hoping to see what's in there in the near future. :)

She just won't let me candle her eggs, even after offering her a rat. lol So, in lieu of candling pics, here are more feeding pics. And a "Try it, I dare ya." pic. lol

One of the uppermost eggs has discolored a bit in the places that were already wrinkled. I think it's a result of getting dripped on and the water just lingered in the crevice. Other than that, it still looks fine and the last time I was able to candle it, I could see the baby moving in there. Just have to wait now to see what sort of baby will come out of there. :)

Such a good mama! I love that second pic. They're really all amazing, but that one...you know.

I can't wait to see what comes out of those eggs, either!

Although I do find the whole MI thing very interesting, I won't be trying it anytime soon.

I always heard that the females stay off feed until the eggs hatch... but I guess not.

Congrats on your clutches.

Day 59 :D

I had a corn clutch that just started pipping earlier today so I thought maybe the ball clutch would be, too (since they were due around the same time). When I opened her tub, I saw a tiny head peeking out but as soon as I slid her out the head disappeared back into its egg. I'll check back in with her later to see if there are any better photo ops. ;)

Congrats Sandy! I can't wait to see what pops out!

(P.S. I'm so glad you are somewhat local, can't wait to be able to purchase some babies from you!)

Just got back home for the night and checked in on her. Still just one pipped egg so far but at least I could see it's head this time. :) The rest of the clutch look like squished marshmallows. lol Wish they'd hurry up and join their sibling.

That first baby out must have been driving mom crazy because when I went to check on her a moment ago, I saw her water bowl had been overturned at the front of the tub and she was spread out all over. I can only guess that the newly hatched baby was spooking her by crawling beneath the sphagnum and bumping into her. Maybe? In any case, I moved that baby (normal male) to the hatchling tub so that mom can go back to tending the rest of the clutch. Just thought it was a funny incident to share. lol :p

How cute! :D I can't wait to see the rest!

Well, poo. Looks like only one mojave in this clutch and it's got hemipenes. :p I'll get some pics up once all of the babies are out.

Good news and bad news....

The good news is that all of the eggs have hatched and the hatchlings are going into their shed cycle. I'll get some pics of them after they shed.

And the bad news.. The very last egg to hatch is a severely kinked baby. :( It's kinked at its mid-section and I really doubt it has very good chances at survival. It will most likely have to be euthanized. I hate that.

Dang that sucks about the kinked baby.... Poor lil thing... Keep us updated on what you decide to do.
