• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Clutch #6 - MINE!!

Well maybe next season you will get your wish. The sire is really different so good chances there is something special in him. Keep plugging and see what you can produce. :thumbsup:
 
I had planned on putting him with a normal that seems like a good match, but wanted limit both the project size and my mojave production (I did the Mojave het pied clutch, too).
Back on that course for next season.

I would have thought pairing the two low-spot/spotless *would* be the best way to accomplish it, so I'm curious why you don't think it was?

Anyways, they are so cute, I see why you'd hold onto the two you're thinking about, I think the other two Mojave males are quite nice as well.

If the great sire and great dam had spots, and the great great parents did, then it would be expected because the trait is not as "concentrated" yet...even though their descendants are spotless. A few more repeat pairings of spotless and breeding the least spotted children, then you will likely begin establishing that trait's "concentration" in the line. The vice versa also pops up, sometimes a long line of high blue gtps will throw neos that will turn rather plain, but those plain animals will produce stunning offspring of their own, simply because there is that "concentration" in their family. obviously it's more complex than that, but I cannot type that much on my phone lol.
 
yus, I get selective breeding and line breeding, I just would have thought the two spotless parents would be more inclined to throw spotless babies even in the first generation.

Basically, the tendency toward spots is stronger. Also, while somewhat similar, the two really are pretty different - it seemed less realistic to expect them to produce such markedly different phenotypes, than to expect some sort of blending
I don't know anything about what produced Mine (the real Mine, that is); but "Chance" got his look from his mother. I thought my best chance of replicating him was to use a female that looked like him (the one in post 23)...but I also wanted to see if Mine's look was reproducible; so I paired them together. I can't deny that I would have liked to see miniature versions of the parents; but I was hoping for a super that might have been able to produce both looks. For that reason, I'll be repeating the pairing.

Obviously, I won't be able to keep all of the babies while I screw with this; but it's a project that has my interest.
