    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Or you could make me shut up by simply telling me the whole tracking number and how you sent the package. It would take you 30 seconds to get me to leave you alone.
 
The mail has just arrived. No snakes. I don't think you sent them at all.

A tracking number would clear it all up, though.

Just to let everyone know. Chris is making good and has e-mailed my partner Rico his money plus. He is also making good for my friend Mike. He was VERY apologetic and is trying to reconcile with his customers. Thanks much, Bill Lubak:)

Nope, haven't heard a thing, and no snakes OR money have arrived.


Chris has no doubt blocked my e-mail address by now.

Bit unwise of him, really.

Hi I just started reading this intresting thread, cheap entertainment for me... but Silvano, maybe you should start posting the time you actually post a thread, Im trying to see how much time is inbetween your posts but I cant find anything... Chris might not have sent your snakes overnight... actually he most likely hasnt but your constant bantaming on him isnt helping give him a chance, I would have a hard time working with you if I was in his situation... I know he has messed up but apparently he is trying his best to make up for it... maybe the best way for you to get the tracking number from Chris would be to play it nice for a little bit :) ... but of course I wasnt sent DOA snakes... so what could I know

I think you're right, Joe. I mean, yeah I tried to be nice for five months and nothing happened, but I really do need to watch my temper now. Once the snakes didn't arrive, the thought of them eventually arriving dead pretty much ruined any chance of me being nice to this guy.
I'm not making excuses for myself - I do agree with you. I promise to try to be more civil, at least, from now on. I have a right to be mad, but not to be rude.

Unfortunately, even if I was nice, I'm sure Chris will still not reply to my e-mails, or send me what Is rightfully mine.

Oh, and to see the time in between my posts, look at the bottom left hand side of the posts. There, it gives the date and time at which the post was made.

This is Mike T. I am the one from Bills post. Ive known Chris for a short time and I can honestly say he is a good person who has made some bad decisions. I am not saying who is right or wrong, but this is getting a little out of control.
Chris has always been a hard person to get a hold of. For business or personal reasons. He is constantly on the go and relies on a cell phone for his business. I know there are many areas where I do not get service and people have called me repeatedly. I am not making excuses for Chirs, but I do understand how hard it is to get a hold of him.
As far as his email is concerned, Ive actually seen his computer crash right in front of my eyes. I visited Chris and his facility a couple of months back and we were trying to go online to look at some adds. We had many problems due to his provider, so I do believe him when he says his computer service is down.
I am not taking any sides here. Ellen, you have every right to be mad and Chris, you have the right to feel threatened. 2 wrongs do not make a right and I would like to see a civil resolution to this problem. Chris and I came to terms and I still consider to be on good speaking terms with him. This whole thing became a crucifixtion. I do not like to see anyone loose thier livlihood, nor do I want to see anyone not get what should be coming to them.
You need to speak to one another and stop posting here. This forum is a great tool, but can also be used as a weapon and really ruin a person. Trust me, Ive been screwed by many people and I should post here. I will only use this as a last resort. Many of the people who screwed me have posts of being great guys!
Anyway, I am not a Pollyanna and think all is going to be well, but try to work it out so everyone can go on with there lives.

Hi Mike, thanks for adding your thoughts. It's nice to know that Chris can be a good guy.

I have been Trying to talk to him outside of the forum, however when when I saw him lurking here but not answering my repeated e-mails, I posted here. I know it got very annoying and repetetive, and I apologize.

In my defense, it has been seven months since I asked for my money back, and I still have not received it. I also waited more than 6 months to post here, keeping it, as you said, as a last resort.

However, as I posted before, I know that I have gone too far, and I'm now making every effort to be at least civil in my posts.

I will be posting updates, though, because IF Chris does step up and refund my money, people deserve to know about it. The same goes if he does not.

Hopefully Chris reads this, and takes your advice to heart, too. I want very badly to work all this out, and I'm sure that he does, too.

Thanks for the reply. I wrote this to both of you. I think you are both good people and trust me, you have every right to feel the way you do. Its just a shame that it went this far.
Its hard to sell reptiles these days.

Just to give everyone an update, the animals did not arrive today.

I have no choice at this point but to think that Chris lied about even sending them.

Hopefully, I'll get my money back someday.
 
Nope. I was hoping (today being my birthday) that a miracle would happen, but no such thing.

Considering that Chris assured me (see an earlier post) that the postage was over $20, it would have had to be delivered by now for that to be true. Considering that and the bogus tracking number, I don't think he ever sent anything.

Thankfully, that means that the poor snakes are still alive. Unfortunately, that means that I'm going to have to borrow some money to pay for my classes this fall, as I don't think I'll ever get back what is owed to me.
 
chris I see that you are online and reading here.

Is there any particular reason why you have not made good on this deal? Is there something we don't know about that we should?

Seems like a fairly small thing to go getting a bad guy status for.
 
It kinda makes me wonder...
I don't think Chris stopped talking to me or posting here because I was mean to him . . . . I think he stopped with the communication because he knew he hadn't sent the snakes and money, and that it might be better to just disappear.

Bad choice, but a more valid reason.

Though it's hard to admit, I've said meaner things to him before (hey, you try holding your temper back for seven months) so why didn't he stop communicating then? I mean, he tried, but eventually he'd respond to my e-mails.

Oh well. At least the snakes are still alive.
 
How people think it is easier to LIE ...

then tell the truth is actually beyond me .One simple lie turns into a string of bigger & bigger lies .Now to even think you can lie about a tracking number and get away with it is even more beyond me !!! i mean Upstate tried that once then went into a string of lies trying to cover that simple lie up .I touched and missed on this thread and mainly due to a customer was taken in by him for a bit but was repaid .I have to say its amazing atthe lengths people will go to tryand get out of anything.

I couldn't have said it better. . . What Chris does not seem to realize is that if he (and his reputation) would be a lot better of if he just told the truth. Even now, after all this time, and all the lies, if he just came clean, and did what he promised to do, things would be so much better for him - not to mention that he'd never have to be bothered by me ever again.

Instead, he just keeps on lying, doing himself more and more damage. I don't understand it either. I just hope that Chris reads this, and decides that it's time to make things right.
