    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy coldbloodedreptilelover ripped me off and is selling the snake i sent him!!!!

Thank you, Im someone that likes to see a bad situation end well. Especially since i know how it feels to get burned and then the run around to get nothing in the end. If Mark decides to right this wrong like he did for you. He will still be able to hold his head up high and Chaulk it up to a bad choice in life, which we all made at one point or another.
 
I think this jerk realizes the severity of this situation and will try to make up what he's done to Dylan. I think he's not admitting he did it out of fear he will be sued and I doubt he will send back the same snake because of that. He knows now Dylan has a strong case behind him with the E mails, along with the add the he put up here for the retic that he thought he deleted but the mods pulled back up (lol). I think the bottom line here is Dylan is too young to get involved with deals over the internet. I never would have arranged a deal like that through E mail, although its good he has the E mail proof. I would have rather of talked to the guy over the phone to see what I was dealing with, even though it was clear in these E mails this guy sounded shady. Saying things like "we are friends now", "I need a good herp buddy", and other things of that nature. That's why the best thing to do is have adults involved. My best advice for you Dylan, if you are going to continue doing trades alone, is to check out the person on the bio first. If there's nothing written good about them here, don't do business with them. I wish you a lot of luck man and hope you are not offended at all by what I had to say here. We were your age once, we know how it is.
 
I commend you guys for your efforts, but I seriously doubt Mark is going to meet up with anyone. He might leave it on your door step at mid night and run, but I'm sure he's too ashamed to meet anyone face to face after being exposed like this. But by all means try. Its worth a shot. :thumbsup:
 
Sometimes the fauna BOI community really pisses me off but this is really sweet. To get together & do something like this for someone...I really think it's amazing! Kind of restores your faith in decent people!

Being from a very involved military family I would say Number 1 he's broken two. Honor and Commitment. Also I know the army has strict rules about behavior I assume the Navy does as well. It seems really sad but there are those that take advantage of the current favor for military personel and claim to be a member. Is there any way to establish this man's claim to being in the Navy to start with? Are there any charges that culd be brought to him for breaking his word in this matter?
 
Well I think Mark should come in here and maybe offer a solution that he will provide to be fair? If someone would be so kind to offer up a solution and they live in the area like was said to maybe allow him to leave it on your door step and just call or text that it was dropped off would be great. I would think offering Mark a EASY out would maybe give him some type of courage to return or compensate to make this situation better and salvage what is left of his name.

Mark if you are reading this.. You can pm a mod or my self right here and offer a solution to this problem and maybe we can arrange something with a local member so that we can then pool some cash together and get this animal sent back to Dylan. I URGE you to take this offer so that some of us may not lose faith in our fellow man. Although a apology and you mailing the animal back to Dylan would be IDEAL, we would be more then happy to do this transaction on whatever terms you feel comfortable with to rectify this wrong.
 
I don't know if this will help at all but I figured I would post it is legal action decides to be taken against this guy. If he has neglected the snake in any way then charges can be pressed against him (at least from my understanding of the law). I know it has been said before in this thread but if you do not recieve your snake, Dylan, I would suggest taking all of the information you have and pressing charges against this man.
If you do recieve it you may be able to sue for the initial vet bill to clear the snakes health. If it is unhealthy than take further action.

Comments like this will make mark not to return the snake... IF he mans up and does the right thing.. no other action should be taken. At least in my personal opinion. If he does NOT step forward and take this easy out then I would agree for Dylan to urge his parents to move forward and press charges for theft and for crimes against a minor over the internet. There is plenty of Evidence here to implicate Mark for this crime and to top it off we have here in a open forum admitting to making a deal with a minor ( whether he knew or not he should of asked ) and also admitting he NEVER shipped the animal he promised, on top of Admitting he has no intentions of holding his end of the deal. Both photos are here on the forum and whether or not Jen's markings are accurate ( which they are ) the photos will be re examined by a crime investigator and then Mark will be up shits creek. Sadly the police Can't arrest Mark since its across state lines this is ONLY a federal matter.

I've already said I would be willing to meet up with him and pick up the snake if he's willing to provide the money to ship it, or if we pool money together. I live less than an hour from where he is and I work less than half an hour from where he is.

I just got this email from him.

shipped out i got there a little late so i did next day deliver usps postal delivery they said wednesday morning not tuesday but i do got the tracking number as well i shipped this way before never had a problem let me know u get her ok shes in shed right now ate a large rat last tuesday pounded it down just a quick not so u know ray is wrong snakes with respitory dont eat as i delt with this before plus that guy ray probed the snake said it was male but you said female and last just so u know i was selling it for u kid to get u money for it because u said u dont want a retic because they get to big remember and ray offered my buddy 100bucks for the retic said they sell for 200 from big reptile people so thats wat i hear of ray u should have no trouble getting a solid trade on the retic from somebody as she or he is growing fast eating great shedding great super tame no cage aggression so let me know man ok.

So, he admits it IS your snake (the probing comment), and ships it illegally through USPS...

I sure hope the snake gets to you safe and healthy. This guy obviously stole from you, and is shipping illegally. He sure has made my do not do business with list.

And he didnt do next day delivery. He did 2 day so it will be here wednesday
 
I haven't read the Bio too long but this guy is by far the worst buyer/seller I've heard of. Now he admits he did have the snake and ships it illegally. lol I hope you get your snake.
 
Wow im really disturbed. NEVER send an animal 2 day delivery there is no excuse for doing this. I highly doubt its because he got there too late. Probably did it to save himself some money. With the summer heat you will be lucky if that snake arrives in good health or even alive for that sake. If he really got there late then he should have sucked it up appologized his butt of and sent it the following day instead of putting the animal at risk. So now he admits that it was your snake but he was just going to sell it for you and get you some money?????? Also he seems to go back and forth talking bad about this Ray guy says he doesn't know anything but trusts this guy enough to not only probe the snake but to acurately tell what sex it is? I dont know much if anything about snakes but I think it would be a pretty bad assumption to say that all snakes with an RI will not eat. Correct me if Im wrong but I would think that some would still eat.
