In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy coldbloodedreptilelover ripped me off and is selling the snake i sent him!!!!

I'm shocked and glad you actually got her back alive.

Best of luck getting her back to health now!

And this guy really needs to be held accountable... it's sickening what he did to this poor snake and does to people. :(

So far she has no signs of uri. Im watching her very close though. Do u have any suggestions on her eating because so far she has no interest in the rat

My snakes love to eat right after they've shed and pooped. Are you trying to feed her a smaller than normal rat? If she hasn't eaten in months, you should offer her something smaller (but I think you acknowledged that already).

Then: Live, P/K, or F/T? There are several threads in the discussion forum about 'tricks' to do for each of the three types of food.

It may just be that she needs a few days to acclimate and get comfortable again. I'd advise against leaving the food item on the cage for too long...give her a day or two, then try again (imho).

I would not worry about feeding for a few days. She just went through something really traumatic and might take a bit to settle it.

Keep her hydrated and misted, monitor for signs of a uri, and maybe offer a rat in a few days.

Ya she is done sheding. So hopefully she might eat. I'm giving her a small rat. He said he gave her a large. I'll take it put and try tomorrow sometime

Smaller is certainly better since you don't know when her last meal was. Better to start off easy.

Poor thing. I'm so glad you got her back alive.

Dylan when you try, you may want to take some of the other posters advice and try live, p/k, or f/t. Check her options and see if she takes either. Hope she makes it through and hopefully with everyones advice and help here it can all be resolved. Good luck!!! :)

wait a week then try only try 1 time a week trying to feed her daily will probally stress her more. let her settle in

Give her a few days to get comfortable. I am sure the animal is stressed out beyond belief from this whole experience and will need a few days or weeks to settle back in. I would give her a week to two weeks (what i normally give my newly aqquired BP's) before feeding her. If she is stressed she will not eat. When you do feed her and she refuses, give her another week. it may be MONTHS before she eats and thats perfectly fine as long as her health remains ok. Just be sure to keep an eye on her vitals and pay close attention to her vitality (AKA if she is becomming more and more sluggish each day, might want to take her to a vet or read up on steps to assisted and force feeding due to lack of nutrients). Best advice i can give you is what a few already stated, give her time in between feedings if she refuses a meal, shes stressed. As for yourself dont panic! She will hopefully take a meal soon!

Glad you got her back,

On feeding toss in a a live rat pup over night. Rat is powerless and unable to harm the snake. Doing it this way gets a small meal to kick start metabolism again

Guys, PLEASE. Anyone reading this thread in the future is going to have to wade through a BUNCH of husbandry related posts. If you want to discuss husbandry, then please create a thread in the proper forum and put a link here to it. One of the major complaints I hear about the BOI is just this sort of off topic posting and the excessive amounts of chaff hiding the kernels of wheat that people are really looking for in threads if this nature.

So please don't make me have to go VERY hard lined on enforcing the off topic posting restriction. :NoNo:

That is just insane. I doubt that snake could become dehydrated that bad in 3 days, does anyone know if that's possible? That's really sad. Is the snake getting any better, Dylan?

I replied "Is she eating live or pre-killed/frozen?"

He then texted me live never had any issues destroying them fast lol eating large rats with eaze"

Just incase no one caught this, IF he fed, then it was probably live, so you might have some trouble feeding f/t. (looking at that snake I'm thinking it wasn't fed at all :(- but I'm not a snake person)

I've been lurking, and I'm sorry for this to have happened to anyone, but you're a lucky one to have gotten your snake back, even if it is in a horrible condition.

I'm happy Dylan has his snake back; I really didn't expect it to happen.

It just looks like it has shedding problems and is a bit dehydrated

If it has shedding problems, then logically that poor snake was totally neglected. It looks more than just a bit dehydrated.

"Mark Jones" you have proven yourself to be:
1) a liar
2) a scammer
3) a thief
4) not worthy of caring for a freakin flea

I`ve been lurking & reading updates on this. I`m SO glad You actually got Your snake back & am truly hoping she will be ok. Hopefully, someone can somehow "trap" this guy and put a stop to what he`s doing. Good Luck, Dylan!

She is Doing a lot better. She just ate and she is no longer dehydrated. She looked normal after a day in my hands. I have no idea how she could have looked that bad in the 1st place. But she is almost back to full health. Just want to make sure she will still eat and drink.
