In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I see this phrase in ads sometimes and I'm not sure what it means. Is it just a general adjective to describe a nice critter, or a sales word, or what?

What does 'Collector Quality' mean to you?

I see another sales gimmick. :shrug01: Clicking on those ads, I don't usually see anything that looks all that special but the words "collector quality" in the title would lead me to believe the animal inside must be a drop dead stunner.

I would say this Colombian boa could be called "collector quality".

Ideally -
It should mean drop dead gorgeous. Clean beautiful animal exemplifying the very best of it's morph/type/line (whatever). Towels ain't gonna cut it, break out the drool bucket.

Reality -
Marketing lingo. I've opened to many ads where I have a way better looking animal already.

It does give my ego a nice boost when my slithers are hotter though.

I've seen it as nothing but a gimmick. Thinking of what I consider the term to mean, I can't see it feasibly fitting an animal.

Yep, I see it as a gimmick too, right along with "screamer," "stunner," "perfect in every way," etc. If I read any of those in an ad, I usually ignore it.

What does 'Collector Quality' mean to you?

To me, it would mean an animal that is above average.
It's a sales technique but it is a way to bring attention to the fact that the animal listed is not your run of the mill example.

If I ever decide to let her go, I'll give you first shot at her. :D
It's tough trying to find a mate that would compliment her coloring. :(

Being a woman I will remember this! :D

I can see where it would be,good snake males are almost as hard to find as human ones.
My pastel & hypo het stuff boys are all to pink, but I'd love to mix that color w/ my cherryline's pattern.
