In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hi everyone. I know this is a very basic question, but im very new to the hobby.
When a morph is talked about ie sunglow, motley, hypo etc. Is it a colombian or ca? Most adds dont say. Seems to me unless it says colombian, its a ca? Or is it a bci cross and realy doesnt matter?
Any explanation would be great!
Thanks

The majority of the boa morphs are mixed BCI(Central/Colombian)
There are others people have mixed in for whatever reason (BCC,BCO etc)

There are some pure morphs in BCO and one or two in BCL as well, Tommy.

Costa Rican is a CA locality, not a morph.

There are some morphs that sprouted from CA localities, such as the blood boa. Hypos are generally ColombianxPanama since it's believed salmon hypo was from Panama. Albinos came from Colombian localities. Generally mixes will be bci locality mixes, there are people that work to keep locality pure lines as well as those that mix and match up whatever. Knowing the sources and your level of trust in believing the breeders will tell you what you have, of course, there are probably quite a few mixes out there that people don't even realize their boas are 'mutts', I've heard of people mixing BCc into BCi morph lines and not being up front about it.

Anyways, I've rambled enough, hope that helps a bit.

Very much aware of morph's, Thank You
Trying to be simplistic as the OP is new to the recklessness of this hobby
Threw the last bit in as a generalization reference.
The morph world is very much like our government,if the real truth
were told on what people actually did(bred) to arrive at particular outcomes(new morphs) the the hobby would implode.

Primary reason I bailed on the BP market back in 04
Its will always be a hobby based on smugglers and thieves, which continues some 25+yrs later at a steady rate :yesnod:

There are some pure morphs in BCO and one or two in BCL as well, Tommy.

FYI,the Costa Rican are no different then the Letica BCI,fictitious locale based on exportation port and junk documentation.
