    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Has anyone used Chieftec cases to build systems? I am thinking about getting a matrix mx to build my system in and would appreciate any opinions.

Yep. I have a black aluminum Chieftec/Chenming case. It's the style with 6 5.25 bays and the 2 internal HDD racks holding 3 drives each. The case holds everything and is excellent for water cooling. The only flaws are that I find the motherboard tray is too close to where the hard drive racks are. If they had made the case an inch or so deeper, it wouldn't be a problem, and it's only a problem if you have a long video card, like a GeForce FX 5950 or 6800. The second problem lies within the case variations. The reason these cases are linked to Chieftec, Chenming, Antec and so many others is because, while still being made by different companies, they are all manufactured in the same factory. Each different manufacturer has little specs to individualize them, so two of the same cases from two different makers will have slight differences.

I love aluminum cases. While they aren't much better thermally like they claim (which was a huge selling point a while ago), they are light and easy to move/carry. My favorites are Lian Li's. I have a PC75 full tower in black, modded up to hold a dual radiator on top, a PC7077, which is the same, but it's all 5.25 bays (12 total). I also have one of the new Lian Li V2000's. The seperate compartments are really nice, it's not as hot by the CPU where it would be in a regular case because the hard drives and power supply is seperate from the motherboard and drives. Arriving today (I hope) will be my 1st steel case in years, the Yeong Yang server cube. I plan to cut it up to add my water cooling setup and lots of drives. Other favorites include Coolermasters aluminum cases.
