    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Obviously its common for these benchmarks to occur on a budding site. For an 8 year old site, however, this consistent rise in visits/participation means that you're doing something right, Rich. :thumbsup:

Yeah, I'm still processing an average of around 40 new registrations each night. Beats the heck out of me where they are all coming from.... :shrug01:

They more than likely won't be joining, but be prepared for the onslaught from my TruTV crime library forum pals...EN MASS!!

Might wanna give the server some more juice to handle the extra people!!
 
They come to look, and I am betting that the more astute will find their home here as they see all the benefits of using the BOI and other sections of the forum. :)

Unfortunately, I blocked the BOI from being able to be read by visitors so the Wise's would HAVE to log in to be able to read their thread.

Not bad to double the traffic in 5 months.
It could have something to do with the fact that in January we are all busy breeding our animals and most of the previous seasons offspring are sold off already ?
I know I just log on, look through the classifieds, and then run down the Forums Home Page and see if there are any BOI or Discussion threads I am interested in.

To me it seems:
In Dec. - March, it's kinda' slow other then a few pics of locks and Christmas sales on the remaining animals from that years breeding season.

Then from April - June, as peoples animals begin to lock, OV, lay clutches, it picks up some.

From July - November, everyone is posting pics of the animals that they have hatched, posting classifieds, All kinds of Discussion threads, and of course when sales are busy during that time, so is the BOI.

What was the average number of users online for the month of June last year, compared to the average number of users online for the month of June this year ?

Either way, Congrats Rich.
 
We stuff FAUNA fliers in the ZooMed bags at the Austin Reptile Expos so I would be curious to see if any memberships surge from Texas after an Austin Expo?

By the way Rich, if you still have that last box of fliers available. I'll take them for our August Expo.

Its great to see this site traffic/membership picking up.

Rich, I will be doing a show Aug 7th in Wheaton Ill and most likely another show a little closer to home in Aug. If you have more flyers, I would like to put some in my booth as well. Lord knows I should have the space.
 
Oh yeah, just for the record, we are still getting an average of 50 new members registering here every day. Beats the heck out of me where they are all coming from. I never would have guessed there were this many people around interested in this stuff. :shrug01: I thought we were doing REAL good when we had 2,000 registered members many moons ago... Now we're up to 67,916 registered members, and the posting stats are actually looking pretty darn healthy..

1,445 posts in the last 24 hours, 28,528 in the last 30 days.

Of course, not all of the new registrations get approved, as I am being pretty strict about those registration fields being filled out correctly. But you have to admit that this has made a BIG dent in spammers getting into this site and posting their crap here.

The mods are also doing an excellent job of keeping the threads from spinning out of control into flame fests, so perhaps the overall image of the site in general has improved enough for people who used to avoid this site to change their perspective.

Thank you all for helping to bring this site back from the brink....
