• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Off Topic (maybe)

First of all, I want to apologize for possibly going off-topic up front. I have been a member of this site since 2004ish, cant remember exactly. On my old membership, which I didnt know until a couple of weeks ago when soneone told me that I couldnt just start a new one, I had never seen so many caring people regarding this site. I rarely posted, in fact, never posted under my old acct. The only time I ever posted on this one was when I was legitimately trying to buy something. Plus, all I ever saw was drama, drama, DRAMA.
To make a long story short, Rich, if it werent for the people in this particular thread alone, Polasian, Lucille and all of the donations that were received, I do not think I would have paid to become a member because of need, if you get what I mean. Only because I have yet to sell on your site and only really look to buy on Fauna. You have a GREAT site and, for the most part, an even GREATER audience so thank you for providing us with this. The industry will miss you.

RANCO THERMOSTAT UP FOR AUCTION

Ok... So I decided to get rid of something and donate the proceeds to the BOI. I would do the membership thingy but I dont know anyone on this site to do that for. I am going to donate a "USED" Ranco ETC 111000.

I purchased this from Reptile Basics I believe in late 2008. It is/was a grounded one until I ruined the power cord, saws and I do not get along :shootfoot . I tested it with that cord and it still worked so I took the cord off and had no more need for it. I will include the power strip, stand and RANCO in the auction, you just need to add a power cord and wire it all back up. I personally do not like Ranco's so I am not going to use it again.

Pictures will be up tomorrow night and the auction ends the last minute of Jan 31, 2010 EST. EVERY penny will be donated to the BOI except shipping of course. Shipping cost will be additional and it not part of the auction, unless picked up. The auction starts NOW and the reserve bid is .01. Let the games begin!!!
