    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Contributor vs Sponsor: PERKS?

hi mods et al!

what is the difference between the privileges provided at the contributor level vs the sponsor level.

i saw there is a chart with X's and -'s but noticed both seem geared towards highlighting/bumping/etc one's CLASSIFIEDS ADs (if i read correctly, but then again i'm no bookwurm!)

so are both Contributor & Sponsor levels both geared towards sellers/tradespersons?

i'm just a hobbyist and doubt i'd ever have any products to offer up at all in this lifetime, but then again was just wondering if its a charitable cause or not and what is done with the membership level payments; does it help run this site/domain/bandwidth etc?

Why do you have to overanalyze everything?
There is no Sponsor level membership. The membership levels are Contributor, Benefactor, and Endowment. The perks of each level can be seen, and compared, by viewing the Paid Membership Table (sort of - I don't think it has been updated for a while).
Being a forum sponsor or classifieds sponsor is purely a means of paid advertisement. It puts the sponsor's name in a prominent place, with links to his/her website.
