• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Going to post all of our dealings, which is only a few screenshots. I hadn't figured out that I had been scammed until I saw someone in an fb group of mine had been scammed by him too and he's since deleted his profile so I have no way to contact him.
I feel dumb, I send the $200 for a baby ivory ball python through PayPal friends and family so I'm sure I'm out of that money. I've already called the automated system and they said there's nothing I can do. I can at least get it out here that he's a scammer. Pics to come.

Hi Rebekah, I am sorry for the BS. Did you pay with goods / services ? Did the PayPal funds come from a bank, PayPal, or hopefully credit cards? You might be able to do something about this

I payed through friends and family stupidly enough. A mistake I won't make again.
I used my Visa card through my personal bank account. :(
I hope I can do something I'm currently waiting on hold to speak to a live person.
Thank you for trying to help!

File a chargeback immediately with your Visa. You may have lucked out with using that payment method, but ALWAYS use goods / services for payment. I personally always cover the 3% myself almost as a "tip" to the seller (in my mind).

Using the email: [email protected]

Taken off of gaming site where he used this email:
HypeNation said "Contact me on Skype @ [email protected]"

The next post from another user on that forum responds:
"This guy a known scammer named Mark somthing Banned many times he runs Hype exotics as a business on the side in LA. Please be careful with this guy. His skype is Kingsneverdie (thehypeman29) he scammed me for 700$ a few months ago with a glad priest.. I can dig up more information if needed. Mark Fit Braund aka hypeman"

Not sure where this leads yet, but perhaps a piece of the puzzle.

Thanks for posting so word gets out about this scammer. I'm glad you're calling your Visa card - I'm hoping they can do a chargeback for you.

Hopefully you get your money back and lesson learned about friends and family....if you have a seller who doesn't want to pay the fee, you can offer to pay the 3% (or whatever it is) and still pay the standard way. That way you're still protected. Anyone who still insists on friends and family even with you offering to pay the fee is suspect, in my mind and I would probably walk away.

Good luck and I hope you get your money back.

Thank you Robert I appreciate the information, anything helps. Idk who he really is. I called PayPal and they've suspended his account but can't do anything about my money. Can't wait to call the bank tomorrow.
Thank you for the advice Theresa I've definitely learned my lesson :(

No problem.
Even though the facebook account is gone now, do you have link that you can paste here to the dead account?

Any recollection of the person's city or state?

Wouldn't that be fake anyways? If he was dumb enough to use his actual location I'd think the PayPal transaction report might show his inputted address (since it's locked ATM and prob can't be edited)

There is a reason.

Also, just in case, here is a screen shot of those quotes - oops;)

Selling a WoW account (World of Warcraft) is against Blizzard's terms of service.

Wasn't able to find a link or get to his old profile. I am able to see his fb email says mark Denali so I'm even more confused. Someone on fb has gotten ahold of the actual owner of hype exotics and supposedly core (mark) has been using their name.

scammed

That sucks man. I was scammed recently as well. I made the mistake of using PayPal "friends and family" as well. I was scammed by averagecitizen22 (Garrett Boswell) for $260. It was for an adult female 'John Ginter' Kankakee bull snake. He has not returned my calls, texts or messages on Fauna. It's frustrating because you text back and forth like your friends and then nothing. It really makes it that much harder to trust people. I've given him the benefit of the doubt, as I understand things happen, but I've been scammed, no other way around it!

This was posted in the Facebook group "Herpetoculture Feedback and inquiry" on Jan 20. So, watch out for Hype Reptiles, Hype Exotics, Louisiana Reptiles and Exotics, and Mark Braud.

He's scammed so many people i can't imagine how much money he's gotten..
I called my bank and and the woman I spoke to said she didn't know if they could get my money back and told me to leave someone else a message. I did that at 12:30 now it's 2:14 and I'm still waiting.
