    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a 4 ft. corn that has been eating f/t mice all along. All of the sudden he has stopped eating. He hasn't eaten for about 3 weeks. Any ideas?

I am moving this to the snake discussion forums.

Some info that might help -
how long have you had the snake?
How often/what was it feeding on before?
has anything changed? (was the tank moved or anything like that?)

I wouldn't worry too much about 3 weeks. It is breeding season right now.

Male or female? If its female, has it been around a male in the past couple months? My females usually go off feed when they are ovulating. I've had males go off feed during breeding season too.

Also, April's questions.

Not Eating

Thanks for the info. This is a big male. The person I got him from said he was just over a year when I got him, but I'm not sure. He was about 4 foot when he came to me. I've had him since late fall and he's always been a great eater - two full grown mice every time. When do I get concerned? I don't want to lose him, he's just like a big puppy.

Well, I highly doubt he was a yearling if he was 4ft, even if he was power fed like crazy. I've had snakes go on hunger strikes before for no apparent reason. Even the best feeders will sometimes. I'd give him another couple weeks before I would worry unless he starts dropping weight. Offer him a meal as you normally would every week. Chances are he will snap out of it soon. Keep us updated.
