    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK, first I'd like to say hello, new to the forum =)

I have 2 corns, a male which i beleive to be an albino, and a female okeetee. I wish to breed them and I've done ALOT of research on the matter, but even with specifc searches I can't seem to find what size or age should they be for breeding, does anyone know?

Dont breed your female till she is 3 years / 300 grams. They will breed earlier if they are put together... but you risk very small clutches or possible complications with egg laying. Its best to wait.

Males can breed at around 2 yrs old.
 
i would def look up the genetics as well

okeetee might not have anything special in it because they are pretty much just normals.

you might want to look into getting a different female like another albino or something of the sort and seeing what you can get from those.
because you really have to think, what are you going to do with 20 baby snakes?

and yeah, the female should be at least 3 years old, the male 2
if she isnt big enough it will most def kill her.

but yeah, check and see if you cant get a nice albino female or a great okeetee male to make your own line and see what you get!

albinoxokeetee will likely just get you some okeetees, unless the okee is carrying albino (which you might be able to find out from the original breeder)

Thanks :) Before I Start breeding anything I'm going to check with my local petstores and see if they could take babies as a backup plan.

I do have one last question, what does it take to get a reverse okeetee?
 
You could also look into paying a stud fee? or looking into splitting the profits of the hatchlings with some one willing to take on the male part of the egg making if you want to take care of the eggs :)

I know i was thinking of breeding my anery out this year with another anery het something to see what i could get!
 
Reverse Okeetee is just an amel okeetee. On these animals the white banding around the saddles are normally much wider and more distinct than on a regular amel.

So with your current animals you would have to breed them together... then breed those babies back to each other to get your Reverse Okeetee's.
 
I'm not sure how many people would actually be into breeding reptiles it my are, I know a few people that have small snakes but only breed the large ones like their carpets and balls. Well, actually when they're old enough to breed I won't be here, I'll be up in college for animal husbandry, and then back here for herpetology, I'm sure I'll have met someone who is interested in breeding corns.

I do have quite a bit of tyme to think about it, the okeetee is only about a year and a half at the moment, she's a big girl tho. An my first breeding project should hopefully be crested geckos.
