    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

could this possibly be anything?

My brother came home with a few bp's yesterday. 2 breeding pairs and one single female. All of them look fantastic. I was looking them over tonight and the single female is very interesting. I am not new to reptiles. I have been in the hobby for very many years. When i started though, there were noone of these fancy morphs that I now have to take a crash course in if I plan to breed these guys, so please bear with me. This female is very light. She has a huge amount of fading on her head and neck and it goes for a bit down her back as well. She also has the mythological pied markers on her belly and flames everywhere. If I can get her to sit for me, I will post pics but what do you all think? I know you cant tell anything until you breed them but some things dont always go through to the offspring. not only that, but I can only breed her once this year and I would like to pair her with a male that completes whatever she might be hiding. Any ideas until pics come????

^ Agreed. There's quite a wide variety of what's considered "normal" without the animal being a morph.

I completely agree. The only reason why I'm asking is because alot of breeders swear by certain markings and this particular snake has a few different ones. I know it is a normal, but my question really is can this snake possibly be hiding something based on her markings?

I would like to breed her this season. She is right around 1300 grams. I have a male with those pied markers too. His are crazy. I know not to bet on anything but being that you only get to do this once a year per animal, I would like to maximize her potential. This whole hobby started with a few animals the just didn't look quite right. I guess I am getting ahead of myself :) Thanks for the input

I was looking at her belly markers and was curious if it was only towaards the end of her body or was it that way thru her entire body. I have a few clearbelly females that look like that the entire way down the body and have slectively bred animals where the offspring produced have also had the same clearbellies.

The "pied markers" are most of the length down her body. Now I'm only going by the straight black lines, not any of the smaller portions or the zig zags. If they were a single line, they would run about 3/4 of her body. Her stomach is completely clear. The fading and the flames are all the way down as well.

I'm gonna put her up with this guy and who knows? He also has quite a bit of the fading along with a decently clear belly and the flames (blushing). I dont have any male morphs that are breeding size yet but this may end up better than a few pastels lol.

Thank you. I put her with the male pictured earlier and they have been locking up since. I'm not expecting anything but it would be awesome of course. I switched him out for a pastel this weekend as kind of a backup.

As far as she goes, I found a similar one on Markus Jayne's website. She is identical except for the flames. He seems to share the same curiosities as I do about oddly marked snakes and has a small page dedicated to them. I've posted the pic and the link. he doesn't speak terribly highly of them, but does express interest in breeding projects.

At this point, who really knows what is normal anymore.
Fires, YBs, axanthics, reduced patterns, etc were not always recognized as "morphs" or reproducible traits...they were just neat looking BPs. Reproducing a look doesn't necessarily mean it's anything "special", if that's as far as it goes. (It's normal for offspring to resemble one of the parents, or show traits of both of them...the parents gave them their genetic material, after all.) But, if you like the look, run with it. That's what this hobby is about.
