I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?
So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.
But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.
Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.
I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

The seller didn't deny it had the snout issues tho. He simply said he sent pics. To me that says he knew it was there and the buyer should have noticed it in the pics. Plus had it happened overnight in the tub wouldn't there be some sort of signs in the tub like blood or something?
No these guys can push and cause face swelling but not break their skin.
When they really get going they put an insane amount of force on their teeth and jaws.

This. The snout may have had some minor deformity before due to it likely being a chronic pusher. I have a male 50% SD F2 Tiger that is around 11' and he was an absolutely killer pusher when he was in a tub / 4' vision when he was younger. With him in a 6' cage now, he still pushes from time to time, but never to the point of any further damage - but he did clef his front scales some at a young age from it. In the OP's images it looks like the swelling is fresh - I've had a snake do that overnight to that extent. Sometimes you can change the cage up, other times its feeding a large meal, and even other times you can put a warm two liter bottle of water inside the cage for them to knock around - almost like its a boredom thing in some cases. . .
Anytime legal aspects come into play (10' under legislation) the OP should stick with strictly pure SD stock, or 75% SD Stock with known lines from breeders who track it thoroughly. I've preached SD Retic sizing and misrepresentation for years - BCR can attest to this. It's always going to be a gamble when any mainland blood is present.
If the images clearly show facial destruction in the images sent, the seller should have addressed it. So yes, this needs better addressing from the sellers side of the story.

I wasn't aware of that, I guess I've been lucky. I only have a handful of retics but have never had issues with pushing unless they're hungry.
I definitely noticed the mouth issue as soon as I saw the picture in the ad, but someone who wasn't paying much attention might not...it should have been mentioned, even if it is normal. And like Utta said, you can tell from the angle of the picture that he was trying to hide it.

Ok people she is leaving outy a lot of that conversation. I have nothing to defend . I did nothing wrong. she liked him for a long time. no one oiut there woujld do what I did and take back an animal that someone has had for months. She wants to post our conversations over the internet without permission from me. While leaving out 50% of the what was said. so Again I tried to send her the male back. she refused. instead of shipping it back to a person that SHOULDNT KEEP RETICS. she said she would leave him at the hub..... I was going to to sell him and send her the money. she refused that to. so people what would you do? I will tell what I'm doing nothing.... i am being bashed for being a good person and trying to help her. you don't get refunds because you cant handle what you purchased!!! DO YOURRESEARCH FIRST IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING.... That's is irresponsible on her part . plain and simple. i was going to replace him. until she tried to throw out the refund thing . of course she waited till i had him to do that! Well to dam bad. I'm not dealing with her crap and her shady ways. never had an issue in the past and have sold countless animals on the site. I'm not sure but i believe it is illegal to post a private conversation over the internet. I will go through the proper channels about handling that one for sure.

i have never sold something that wasn't what i said it was. ive never had un happy customers . except this crazy one. I do this as a hobby not a living. I'm a more then fair person and anyone that has done business with me can tell you that. that's all I'm saying.
She does not need your permission. You have access to the conversations as well, if you are claiming something was left out, post it.

Not true at all. You can post any conversation online unless you have explicit confidentiality agreement. You cannot post a phone call recording but there aren't anything stopping emails and such in most places

You've posted several times that information is missing. Please post the missing info. A lack of such posting now that you have made it an issue would in my opinion reflect badly on you.
When did the OP receive the adult male? Going by the texts I can see she returned him in late June/early July.
Also was there any discussion on what percentage SD these snakes are? Did the OP ask that question?

So you have paperwork stating that the male in question is in fact a SD, who is also het anery? If not, then it's just your word, and your word is frankly useless, given you posted a pic of an 8ft male stating he was 4 ½ ft. Either you seriously need to reeducate yourself on measurements, or invest in a tape measure.

Easy Craig, just take it calm and slow. It was cool of you to contact her after she had issues with the snake. Unfortunately she may have taken a bit of advantage of your favor, but we can't be sure of that yet. Post the full text conversations, and then explain why your ads are always different. Also, did you know about the 10 foot limit she was after?

Craig did send/offer me a replacement in the end. He sent me this beautiful platinum supertiger female. Her personality is just great! Her first shed after arriving in Nevada was just awful, but the 2nd shed was absolutely perfect. I have learned a lot about retics in this short time, thank you for the advice. Out of the 4 retics I originally purchased, both of the 2016 babies are doing just great and have been to public education outings without any issues. Craig did contact me to see if I was happy with the replacement for the purple albino male, but when I did mention some minor issues with the het anery female (supposed daughter of the purple albino male), I got no response on that portion. Craig did make good on sending a replacement and I couldn't be more happy with her. However, I believe the person that sold him the purple albino male and his offspring may not have told him the truth. The supposed 2015 het anery female (supposed daughter of the purple albino male) had some odd behaviors this fall, but has since gone back to eating and quite pushing. Guess I'll never know all the details on her, since Craig probably doesn't know the whole truth either. I can just hope that she's truly a super dwarf and will stay within a certain size range. At this point, I own 5 super dwarf/dwarf retics, all are 100% hook trained and have all been on educational outings.

I have had dealings with Craig and everything was spot on . He is a fellow Marine and everything was above board . Sounds like a misunderstanding .
