    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wondering if anyone else has had a bad expierence with this *bleeb idy bleeb* Personally i have recieved horrible customer service from him, and will probably have to end up taking him to court to get my animals paper work settled. Any and all opions of this individuals so called business will be takin with a grain of salt. I for one will NEVER deal with this low life again! If you are thinking about purchasing animals from him i'd look else where.

Corey , well i think ill speak for ua ll , since we can only go by what is said , i think in the defense of the person you call a BAD GUY you need to explain what it is he did and be a lil more in depth then jusy coming on and calling someone bad and using the vindictive post you did . not saying he is or isnt  what you are claimng ... but IMO your post looks like a vindetta more then ligit posting so when you see this please explain the deal that made you feel this way to let us all know what is goin on .

We'll this will get ugly, Needless to say i despise this man as i am sure you can already tell. Awhile back i purchased a breeding group of 2.1 Green & White Sanzinia from him for a substantial amount of money. These snakes are on CITES I and need legal documentation, which he said that he would be sending with the snakes (c.b. zoo documents). Well when i recieved the animals guess what? No papers, so I imediatly called him and he assured me that they would be in the mail first thing in the morning, well after a week or so i knew that he in fact did not send them. So we talked again and now he said that he misplaced them. Well enough excuses CRAIG, last night i finally got fed up with his BS and reported him to the Managment Authority of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, which is responsible for implementing the Convention on International Trade in Endangerd Speices of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITIES) within the United States. The Management Authority also implements portions of the Endangered Species Act. As of now i am unsure of what the outcome will be. As long as he is strictly repremanded for this incident i will be happy. Selling undocumented endangerd animals is not to be taken lightly Craig.

Corey - tread carefully where you are walking!  There is a real good chance that those animals will get confiscated, then you will not only be without the papers, but also will lose the animals and the money you paid for them.
 
Rich, what choice does he have?  He can't risk trying to keep,sell, or breed them w/o the papers.  At least this way he'll have documentation that he has done everything right.  

I know Craig from doing his shows, I will try and get in touch with him myself and see what's up.  Hopefully ya'll can get this resolved BEFORE law enforcement gets involved.

I agree with the WebSlave BIGTIME on this one.  I think in one respect you did the right thing by reporting this guy for selling undocumented CITES animals, however, by reporting this Craig person, you have also reported yourself for harboring these animals AND purchasing these animals without those necessary papers.  And to my understanding, that can have just as serious implications and repurcussions as him selling them to you.  As the WebSlave said, the USFG could decide to charge you and confiscate the animals.  Hopefully it will work out okay since you reported the possible fraudulent intent of the sale once you realized that proper papers were not forthcoming.  
I wish you the best of luck in this and hope everything works out okay.  But just realize that getting the government involved is like a double-edged sword, dangerous on both sides.
 
I think in this situation i would have asked to send the animals back to the dealer and get a full refund. I personally do not agree with calling USFW and reporting the dealer. These animals have most likely been through several hands and unfortunately paperwork can get lost. When this happens, most zoos are unwilling to replace documents that they have already provided once with the initial sale. Now the Sanzinia could very well be confiscated and end up back in a zoo!

I do understand Corey's frustration though, as the animals are borderline (it's a rather grey area) illegal without the proper documents. A similar situation happened to us once with a dealer who had an adult Madagascan tree boa for sale at a good price. We were interested in the animal but when we asked to see a copy of the paperwork on her he couldn't deliver and needless to say we were not interested anymore. If Corey was promised paperwork on the Sanzinia and did not receive it then that makes those animals (IMO) less valuable and not what was represented to him. He should have gotten a refund. Corey, I seriously doubt that will happen now, but you never know! Best of luck.
 
I realized that they may confiscate the animals, but i do not see why they would charge me with a crime when i was told they were legal animals and the papers were on there way, and i am the one reporting this action. I won't mind doing time if that is what its going to come to, Craigs going to need some company in that cold four cornerd room, cant think of a better canidate for a cell mate. As far as working this out with him or refunding the animals, personally i think the only way we will settle this is in a courtroom. I've tried to work with him and give him time to "find the Papers" but its time this issue is resolved. It may have been a different story if he would've taken some initiative to finish this deal. Seemed to me that as soon as i had the animals and he had mine that to him the deal was complete. We'll its been a year and its still not complete, it is time this is settled. If hes not going to settle this between the two of us then we can go before a judge and see what he has to say about it.

P.S. BCP they are already involved with this matter, as well as my lawyer, if he wants to keep this out of the courtroom then tell him to stop procrastinating and give me a justifiable reason why i have not recieved these documents yet.

just out of curiosity...when did you contact USFG about this matter?  I might have missed something.  If this trade happened a year ago and still no papers, chances are you will never see any papers from this guy.  But, that could refelct badly on you if you just recently contacted USFG about this incident and you have harbored these undocumented CITES animals the entire time.  Can Craig even prove which "zoo" he got the animals from in the first place?  Can he even TELL you which insitution he got them from?  If he can at least do that, you might be able to contact the institution and see if they can at least verify that the animals came from there, if not provide you with copies of paperwork on them?  
Just a thought on how to maybe help you get papers by circumventing this guy, OR really get him in trouble if the animals never had any documents in the first place, but of course it could all come back on you again.  Things like this is why I do any deals that require paperwork upfront and in person.  If they can't give me the documents right away, I can just turn around and leave.
Again I wish you lots of luck and keep us posted on how it turns out for you.

See theres somthing messed up here, first off when i opened the box up the where the snakes and no papers i whent thru that box and double checked then checked it again, i assure you that there were no papers in that box. As for the copys that where sent they must have been lost in the mail or something. If you can go thru his records and find the documents i would greatly appreciate it, Im sorry to hear that he is ill, that is one possible reason why he hasnt been returning any emails or answering his phone. And as far as the Ruthveni are concerned i have no clue what happend, they breed for me the season before and were in good health from what i could tell, I never heard anything from him about that. I'd much rather just settle all this and be done with it than taking it any further.

CRAIG TILLAM is a "Super Scunmag". I was a personal friend of his untill he sold me sick 1.1 Het for albino and 1 albino female adult boas. I took the snakes right to the vet and spent $175 to do blood work to find out what was wrong with them.They had ecoli,respatory infection,and 2 other sicknesses i can't remember off the top of my head.

When I called him to the some money for my vet bill he gave me a real hard time about it. I then told him I would be returning the snakes that day for a refund if he was not paying the full vet bill. He finally gave me $275 for the just the med to fix the snakes after me pretty much  me theratening him. He did not refund my $175 I spent finding out what was wrong with the snakes.

On top of all this I gave him and his daughter a free bengal kitten cuz we were friends and I would be able to do his run down,underadvertized,mite infested reptile show.Now that I've told everyone obout his biz pratices I am no longer able do do his show.

WOW! I'VE BEEN WONDERING WHEN THIS WOULD HIT! THE ONE AND ONLY TIME I ORDERED AN ANIMAL FROM CRAIG, THE ANIMAL I RECEIVED WAS NOT EVEN THE SAME ANIMAL HE ADVERTISED ON KINGSNAKE. HE RAN AN AD FOR A BABY GUYANA. HE ADVERTISED A BEAUTIFUL GUYANA WITH COLOR AND PATTERN TO DIE FOR! I HAD NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS BEFORE SO I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE. I ORDERED THE GUYANA AND WHEN I RECEIVED MY PACKAGE I DISCOVERED A VERY AVERAGE DARK COLORED IMPORT GUYANA. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE SAME SNAKE CRAIG HAD ADVERTISED! I CALLED CRAIG AND AFTER A FEW CHOICE WORDS WERE EXCHANGED, HE FINALLY AGREED TO TAKE THE ANIMAL BACK. THIS WAS NOT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, BUT ENOUGH TO TURN ME OFF! I THOUGHT A MAN THAT ACTUALLY HEADS UP A SHOW WOULD HAVE A LITTLE MORE TACT, BUT I GUESS NOT.
 
Just to update my situation here, I still have not recieved these doc's starting to wonder if i ever will. Dan if you could send me your phone number via pm i'd like to discuss afew possibilites with you.

Since were on the subject of bad experiences with gold coast reptiles. This happen over 2 years ago so the time when I Thought something would be done has long since past. I was suppost to get a pair of Suriname red tails from Craig along with an albino green Burmese. What I got was 2 under wieght boas both covered with about a half  dozen swollen ticks each! & no burm! HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE TICKS ON AN ANIMALE! Anyway the burm was sent to me dead a few days later. I talked with Craig several times about it, & he said he would take care of it. Needles to say nothing ever happeded, they got what they wanted & I was left holding the bag. I tried calling & got the phone hang up on me more then once, heres what I got "ahhh Craig isn't here CLICK!", before I could even say another word. After so many calls like that & leaving I don't know how many messeages, not to mention running up a phone bill, I said it just isn't worth it.

To my understanding Sanzinia are not apendix 1 they are apendix 2 but protected in Madagasca, just to let you all know. Take care herpers

If I may interject for a moment...

The fact that there was no documentation realistically means nothing, unless the animals crossed an international border.

If you report this instance, you may as well also report any individual who's keeping Dumeril's boas and Argentine boa constrictors.

My post is in regards to the tangent about CITES Appendix I animals only, and is not in regards to Mr. Tillem's business ethics.
